4.0 out of 5 stars Ivan breaks the mold
This CD offers you so much more than your typical metal. Although it characteristically fits the Industrial category, as did Motograter, it goes far beyond expectations of said name genre. Ivan keeps the mood changing with vox that can only belong to him. This album would be a definite plus in anyone's collection and might even become a favorite.

2.0 out of 5 stars NOT IVAN'S BEST WORK...
I have been listening to MOTOGRATER for years and always wondered if I would ever hear from Ivan Moody again. Pound for pound, one of the best vocalists out there. SORRY GUYS,not this time. This CD is very strange and never seems to go anywhere. Lots of noises to take up space instead of just playing music. If you are a big fan of MOTOGRATER like I am ,this is a let down...

I say by far this album is awesome and its just hard to describe in words on how great it is. Ivan is such a talented man. I love him in Motograter and i love him in Ghost-Machine. In person he is the most down to earth musician ever and I recommend this album for anyone with a good taste for music. Its definitely on a different level than alot of music today. Simply, simply amazing.

This cd shows off the great lyric style of Ivan and how outstanding songs are assembled. This is a great first album from a band that could have a great career if people hear them. Ivans voice is great, and I love this cd

5.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff, May 3, 2006

I ordered this CD when I was on tour in Iraq. I had never heard of these guys before but when I purchased a new copy of Motogrator this showed up also. It looked intresting and when I got it I was surprised. This is some good stuff. Get it cause you know you want to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, November 4, 2009

After looking for it so long, I finally own it. The self titled debut of Ghost Machine is a great album, a look into what you could expect on their follow up "Hypersensitive". I owned "Hypersensitive" before I purchased this, and although some of the same songs are on here I'm a big collector. It's very dark music with real well thought out subject matter. My only hope is that they will make a 3rd album.

5.0 out of 5 stars The whole album is great, October 14, 2009

It's rare for me to find an entire album that I can just let play without skipping some tracks to get to "better" ones. I've only found two CDs that I could just leave alone, from the first to last track, while driving longer distances; this is one, and the other is the first A Perfect Circle album.

My best friend introduced me to this band back in 2006 much like he did with many other bands, except I tended to not like his taste in music.. too screamy, too over-the-top, too much going on at once. I like all kinds of music from classical to tribal to even a bit of country now and then. What surprised me most about this band was how they interlace so much into each song without crowding, each one is different in it's own way, yet they keep the feel of the album whole.

The music can range on the harder side on some tracks, but the smooth vocals balance it perfectly.

In general, this CD carries a low, almost creepy, sometimes silky yet dangerously sexy vibe.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't stop at number 11, November 22, 2005
This review is from: Ghost Machine (Audio CD)
If you've not heard this album...buy it! Ghost machine says "You've never heard anything like this before" They couldnt be more correct. In case you're unaware, there are 79 total tracks on the album. Most just mumbling and twisted sound, but just keept it playing...you'll see which ones are full length......keep it going....I'm serious!
