Hannah Fairchild has a new neighbor. No big deal right? Well, the problem is that when he moved in she never saw a moving truck, and she lives right next door! When Danny (the new neighbor) moved in, everything got really weird. Everytime Hannah talkes to him he dissapers. To top it all off, a strange shadow figure is following Hannah and knows her name. A Kid's Review
R.L. Stine is such a talented author and I think this is one of his best books. This book is about a girl named hannah and she meets the new boy, danny who just moved in next door to her. After Danny moves in weird things start happening that makes Hannah believe that Danny is a ghost. This book has a huge twist to. You have to read this one, it is one of the best in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars scary but cool at the same time!, January 23, 2006

I LOVE the series Goosebumps. I think think this is the best Goosebump book I have ever read. This book is about a girl named Hannah that has nothing to do over The long boring summer because all of her friends have gone away on vacation or to summer camp. This book has the coolest lead. Hannah is supposedly having this dream that her whole house was on fire! When Hannah wakes up she went outside to get her bike. A boy crashes into her They talk for a while. He says that he moved into the house in the middle of the night. Hannah thinks it is a little strange that nobody saw him. Is Hannah being haunted by the " The Ghost Next Door?"

5.0 out of 5 stars Tony's ghost story, December 2, 2005
A Kid's Review
Have you ever read the exciting book, The Ghost Next Door? After Hannah had a bad dream about a fire, her neighborhood got a little weird. She lives in Big Horn, WY. A boy moved in, but she doesn't know when he did. The house looked so deserted the day before. Hannah ponders the boy, Danny, is a ghost because he just keeps disappearing? One day, she arose from bed and went to Danny's house. She played soccer with him. She smashed the soccer ball to him, and he slipped over the ball. Hannah undertook to help him up, but her hand went right through his. Is Hannah a ghost, or is Danny a ghost? I recommend this book to all readers. This book is exciting, interesting, and weird.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Ghost Next Door, June 27, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Ghost Next Door (Goosebumps) (Paperback)
"Nooooooo!" Hannahs wail echoed in the darkness that sorrounded her.Hannah has a very strange and difficult life.
Hannah got very frighten when she found out she had next door neighboors without her noticing they moved in one summer day.Hannah family wasn't there so she couldn't talk out her problems with her family about her new next door neighboor.
If I were in the character's shoes I would go home and not wander around like Hannah did.
I really enjoyed this book because I like the way R.L.Stine used alot of discrivtive words. That helped me understand the book and visualize what was going on.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes scary and horror books like this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ghost Next Door review, April 8, 2010
A Kid's Review
This book was about a scary adventure that happened to a kid named Hannah. I liked this book because it leaves you hanging and you don't know what's going to happen. My favorite part of the book was when Hannah told her mom that she thought there was a ghost next door but her mother said "No, there is no such thing as ghosts." That was the end of the fourth chapter. I think you would like this book because it gives you clues about what's going to happen!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my son's favorite goosbumps books, April 4, 2010

He is in 3rd grade and finding a book that holds his interest is a challenge. The twists maybe more obvious to adults but it kept him turning pages and he found it very interesting where he read past his "required" reading time.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great story, March 18, 2010
Hannah discovers that a new boy has moved in next door. How could she not have noticed a moving van? Danny claims to be in her grade, yet she has never seen him in school, nor does she know his friends. He has an uncanny tendency to vanish. Is Danny a ghost?

This is one of my favourite Goosebumps. The plot is great and the story is actually touching at the end, a depth uncommon in Stine's books, and especially in Goosebumps. This book also contains 2 kids who are the most dark-minded 12-year olds I've come across in Goosebumps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Something Weird About That Kid Next Door!, October 22, 2007

There's something weird about Hannah's new next door neighbour Danny. She can't remember moving trucks or anything to do with his family moving in but he tells her he's her new neighbour. She has been pretty much home 24hrs a day as its school holidays and her friend Janey is away at camp and hasn't bothered to even write to her so she's been rather bored. She should have noticed a new family moving in but why didn't she? He tells her he's in the same grade as her and goes to her school but she's never seen him before or the two friends he hangs around with. Why can't his mum seem to hear her when she goes over to talk to Danny? There's something not quite right here and why does some mysterious weirdo keep lurking in the shadows and following her around?

The Ghost Next Door is one of Stine's best books, like most it is fairly predictable but the fun is still there until the last page.
