Eliza is seeing things, but what she hears shakes her to the core. The Bookshop has been in her family since before the Civil War and now it s in financial trouble. Strange things are happening ... Eliza receives mysterious messages, stumbles across obscure clues, and finds hidden spaces in The Bookshop. When a creepy man starts popping up in unexpected places, she knows not to trust him. About the Author

Laurie Cameron was born in Montana and moved to Alexandria, Virginia, after college. Over the past nineteen years, she and her husband have lived and traveled throughout many parts of Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America as part of the U.S. Foreign Service.

She and her family took a hiatus from living overseas and returned to Alexandria from 2001-2005. During this time, she renewed her love of the historic city, thus providing the inspiration for the setting of The Ghost at Old Oak Way. Her niece and co-author of the book, Laura Meagher, was born and raised in Plainfield, Illinois. After graduating from college, Ms. Meagher taught elementary school for eleven years, before taking time off to stay home and raise her children. This gave her the opportunity to focus on writing - one of her passions.

Her parents, both retired school teachers, nurtured Ms. Meagher's love of writing at an early age. They patiently helped her type up her stories and send them off in the mail, always hoping for that big break - at a ripe old age of 10!

The Ghost at Old Oak Way has been a labor of love for both authors, who began their collaborative effort in October of 2007. With Ms. Cameron living in the Dominican Republic at the time, the entire writing process took place via e-mail. Ms. Meagher provided the plot for the story, and both authors worked long hours to write the book and create the dialogue.

Ms. Cameron currently lives in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, with her husband, William Brands. She has two children in college. Ms. Meagher lives with her husband, Joe, and their two daughters in the same Chicago suburb where she grew up. The Ghost at Old Oak Way is the first published novel for both women.
