Product Description

The final confrontation between Ghost Rider and Lucifer is here! Ghost Rider, now back in control after Johnny has (once again) proven himself to be... not so good at it, has begun his brutal final march toward Lucifer's ultimate destruction. But should the fate of the mortal world - and possibly the immortal world - be entrusted to a vengeful spirit bonded to the soul of an ex-carnival performer? Heaven doesn't think so. Collects Ghost Rider #12-13 and Annual.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not Great,But Not Horrible, July 6, 2009
Ultimately if you like Ghost Rider or the World war Hulk series you should definetly check it out I think its biggest flaw was that there wasnt enough Physical interaction between both contenders IT could have been better executed but as a ghost rider fan I am proud to own this because it has two really Nice Covers And some decently illustrated artwork overall not bad try it you might like it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Well drawn, fairly well written, but ultimately pointless and too short, June 22, 2008
This is an excitingly drawn comic that looks as spectacular as the rest of this series has up to this point. In the end, however, this story arc is pretty short (only 2 comics worth, with a one-shot mixed in) and doesn't really advance the plot of Ghost Rider or the World War Hulk plotline this story intersects with. The rest of the space is taken up with filler/reference material that comes off as a long advertisement for the movie.

2.0 out of 5 stars *Yawn*, February 12, 2008
By N. Durham "Big Evil" (Philadelphia, PA) - See all my reviews
(TOP 50 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
What happens when Johnny "Ghost Rider" Blaze gets caught in the middle of World War Hulk? A whole lot of nothing that's what. Apocalypse Soon finds our favorite flame-headed spirit of vengeance caught in a World War Hulk tie-in, which as you may very well guess, doesn't amount to a whole lot. While we do get a glimpse of Ghost Rider taking the Hulk on head-on, writer Daniel Way doesn't really do much with the match-up, which in itself could have been a real treat if handled correctly. In the meantime, we also meet the mysterious Mr. Eleven, who apparently will play a larger role in things yet to come. Maybe. Since the new ongoing Ghost Rider series launched with Daniel Way at the helm, the whole thing just comes off as a bore. Way has some moments of great ideas here and there, but it always seems like the guy is holding back, just like he did with Wolverine. There's more solid artwork from series vets Javier Saltares and Mark Texiera, but once again, Ghost Rider fails to do anything substancial. All in all, if for some reason you've enjoyed Way's run on Ghost Rider thus far, Apocalypse Soon will offer you more of the same, which for the rest of us, already informs us to leave it on the shelf.
