Editorial Reviews

The Prime Minister is taken into custody, but her removal from office is being kept secret. Aramaki and Togusa work to get to her so they can prevent a nuclear attack. In Dejima, the military begins its assault. The Major and some of Section 9 try their best to defuse the situation, and the injured Ishikawa tries to deliver the rest of the plutonium to the authorities to prove their case. During the fighting, the Major and Kuze become trapped beneath the rubble together. The Tachikomas inform her that there is a nuclear submarine just out of sensor range. Batou, meanwhile, gets the rangers who are pursuing them to stop fighting and listen to him. Things are starting to go Section 9’s way, but the nuclear missile is still being prepared for launch! The explosive second season of Ghost in the Shell ends now!

5.0 out of 5 stars ...and the kitchen sink!, September 29, 2006

This is what we all wanted to know. This set includes:
1. One Large "Collector's" tin container (Silver with circular cut-out and clear plastic view window) correctly labeled 2nd Gig. 5-1/2"D x 6"W x 8"H. It will hold all previous deluxe or regular or combo of both editions 2nd Gig DVD sets.
2. One deluxe "Limited Edition" Volume 7 2nd Gig DVD set with regular and DTS versions on two separate discs, in its own deluxe metal container.
3. One CD O.T.S. 3 Music Soundtrack in its own plastic jewel case with graphics.
4. One Motoko B-type collectible figure.

Expect the price on this set to rise. Order two now! Well Done GITS Group and thanks for thinking of your fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Series comes to an end, September 29, 2006

Well if you have got to Vol.7 you probably know about the story anyway. The music CD that comes with the deluxe version is quite good, the storage box is good for the whole series and fits the standard version dvd cases just fine. The toy model that comes with the deluxe version is a little cheesy, like something that comes free with a box of breakfast cereal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Completes 2nd season, nice packaging, September 29, 2006

So they actually ship you two metal boxes: 1) just like the other six parts, a thin case with a round cutout to show the disk graphics. 2) A large case with seven slots and a ribbon to lift boxes out with. There is a cut on the end of the large box to show the disk graphics as well. The lid on the large box has slices of the disk graphics and numbers to key the disks. The toy is Motoko with what looks like a gate/portal. Two DVDs (dts and dolby) as normal.

I followed this on laughing man fansubs and was not able to follow of the subtleties of the second season very well. Watching the second season over as it is released, I'm catching much more of the details and seeing more of the affinity between Motoko and Kuze.

Word is a third feature film is on the way too.
