Ghost Wineries- Interesting history of Old Napa,

This book was very interesting. I ordered it prior to a trip to Napa and Sonoma Valleys. It revealed a good deal of information about prohibition and how the valley suffered during that part of our history. Very few vineyards survived by just growing and selling grapes for other uses. This book deals with some of the Wineries that were able to get back into the wine business after that period. There is good information about how and when each Ghost Winery restarted, as well as many black and white photo's. One Ghost winery is rebuilding as recently as the early 2000's and has not yet produced any wine. This book may not enhance your trip to Napa, but the history is absorbing, especially if you enjoy the area.
