GHOSTDANCE is a phenomenal album. For me, the title song comes the closest to matching the magic of hearing Bill Miller live in concert. From beginning to end, GHOSTDANCE sends shivers up and down the listener's spine with its poignance and poetry. Having been graced with the good fortune to see Miller two Augusts ago at Musikfest (Bethlehem, PA), I must avow that the in-concert Bill Miller is even more powerful and mystical than what has been captured on the album GHOSTDANCE. I will never forget the transfigurative "Amazing Grace," "All Along the Watchtower," etc. from that evening. I hope Bill continues to work with the producer of GHOSTDANCE: although this album is the best yet, there's even more to come. Thank you, Mr. Miller, for sharing your vision, your healing powers, and your grace with the world. We're waiting for more rain from your thundrous talent!

"RED ROAD" WAS A BLESSING, AND I'VE PLAYED AND LOVED IT ENDLESSLEY FOR IT'S SOUL AND MUSICAL FORCE. IT WAS WILD AND FREE AS CRAZY HORSE,STRONG AS LEONARD,WISE AS SITTING BULL,AND AS PURIFYING AS THE SWEAT LODGE. "RAVEN IN THE SNOW" WAS EMOTIONALLY INTENSE AND WONDERFUL IN EXPERIMENTATION. BUT THIS "GHOSTDANCE" IS REALLY SOMETHING. ALL THOSE NIGHTS IN CHEAP MOTELS, COMMITTMENT TO CHILDREN'S RIGHTS, ONE NIGHT GIGS, BELIEF IN HIS HERITAGE AND MUSICAL GIFTS COMES BURSTING THROUGH HIS WORK. THE FIRST SONG "EVERY MOUNTAIN" SHOULD BE A TOP TEN CROSS GENRE HIT. IT HAS BILL'S BEST ELEMENTS FROM ALL OF HIS ALBUMS INCLUDING HIS PLAINTIVE MELODIC VOICE. "THE REASON" BRINGS OUT HIS WONDERFUL WORK WITH THE GUITAR AND A STRONG MESSAGE THROUGH THE VOICES OF THE CHORUS THAT THIS A NATIVE AMERICAN ALBUM. "GHOSTDANCE" IS A PIECE THAT GIVES US THE THE SPIRITUAL SOUND OF VOICES IN RELIGIOUS CEREMONY THAT WE ONLY GET A GLIMPSE OF IN POW-WOW DANCING MUSIC BECAUSE IT IS EARTHY ENOUGH TO BE THE REAL THING. THE ARRANGEMENTS WITH VIOLIN BACKING MUSIC GIVES A FINE POLISH TO THE ENTIRE PRODUCTION. I WILL STILL PLAY HIS EARLIER MUSIC, BUT THIS IS BILL MILLER'S TOUR DE FORCE. DID I SAY THAT I LOVE THIS ALBUM ? I CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR WHAT THIS BROTHER DOES NEXT TIME. AH-HO ! YOUR BROTHER: SEEKING DESTINY

I had the good fortune to see Bill Miller live at the Mother's Day Pow Wow in Canton, Ga. on Saturday night. The man was awesome. I could see he felt every song he sang and made me and the rest of his audience feel every song he sang. He came across very sincere and honest. Every Native American and non Native American needs to listen to his music. It changed my life and it will change yours. I will never look at life the same way again.
