Book Description

Doctor Who New Adventures December 1997
Bernice travels to the primitive and religious world of Canopus IV, where the locals worship the Spire, a kilometer-high tower that bends time, and talks of gods who can see through time. Someone must solve the mystery of the Canopusi's ancient gods, and Benny is just the archaeologist for the job.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not Bucher-Jones' best, February 25, 2000
This review is from: Ghosts Devices (Doctor Who New Adventures) (Mass Market Paperback)
The basic idea of Ghost Devices is brilliant, but it falters somewhat in the execution (something common to many of the post-Doctorectomy NAs). It's certainly not a bad book, but it's not the author's best; the MacGuffin in "The Death of Art" was just as good and the plotting was much smoother.

4.0 out of 5 stars Douglas Adams meets Iain Banks' "the Culture", December 1, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Ghosts Devices (Doctor Who New Adventures) (Mass Market Paperback)
I enjoy the style of both authors, and found that Simon Bucher-Jones did well in providing a story with both humorous and thought-provoking societal and science elements.
