Great view of Florida in the mid 1800's,
By Ed Williamson (Jacksonville, Florida) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ghosts of the Green Swamp: A Cracker Western (Paperback)
This is a great leisure or vacation book. Lee Gramling's book Ghosts of the Green Swamp, provides readers a view at the Florida of the mid 1800's. Tate Barkley is the main character of the "Cracker Western", and the book does a great job of showing the life on the frontier of Florida and provides a few plot twists and enough action for most action-adventure readers. It is part of a series of books about life in frontier Florida that seem to be authentic and accurate.
