With a vivid history Seattle certainly has the past for hauntings to appear and this would seem to be a good source for such legends. alas it was not to be. I picked this up last spring on a vaccation in Seattle and thought it might be fun, while there to try and run down some of these local hauntings.

Unfortunately where as most books on haunting focus on what people have experience and the legends or facts behind the site, this reads more like a travelouge. That the author has an interest in ghosts, heard local legends and went to the sites to see what she could find. OK So far so good, but all to much of the story is about her experiences, which are typically 'nothing happened' rather than recounting the reports which lured her in with her own experiences as an afterthought.

I could have done that and saved myself the money spent on this. It does have good elements but as I said it's just too involved in her experiences rather than the hauntings.

This book was a great read! You can really tell that the author really investigated everything she wrote about. I love anything with ghost, and i hope Athena will do more. I would love to see a book about Arkansas Ghost.

I found the book very informative about areas I've visited and wanted to know more about. Great book!!!
