Book Description

NOTE: This is a SHORT book. It details four of my true paranormal experiences as they happened to me. This is not fiction so I don't embellish my experiences. They're to the point and factual. If you're looking for a longer read please check out my other nonfiction books, 365 Ways To Raise Your Frequency (ASIN: B006J8X8LA), Your Psychic Self (ASIN: B00AWQ2NUW) or Simply Give Thanks (ISBN-13: 978-1596111127).

Have you ever wondered what it's like to help a ghost, visit a haunted house, meet your spirit guide or learn about a past life through the eyes of a child? In this collection the author shares four of her own experiences with you. In The Silver Haired Lady, the author helps a spirit resolve an issue and continue on her path to the Other Side. In Recognition of Spirit, she relives a trip to a haunted house, in A Child Remembers she recounts a story that a youngster told her about past lives that confirms reincarnation, and in How I Met My Spirit Guide, she tells you about two major events in meeting her primary spirit guide.

4.0 out of 5 stars Short but very interesting July 12, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've read many books on the spirit world and many times I have been disappointed. This one does not disappoint the reader, except for its brevity.

This author has a very nice ring to the prose. She doesn't exaggerate or pump up the events that happen in the book, rather the reader gets a very real sense of the events and the (possible) entities behind them. I especially liked the story of a house the author wanted to buy and the spirit that manifested himself in it. That one really sent shivers down the spine, and yet, was entirely understandable.

I would like to see a longer compendium of these stories, one that would illuminate more facets of the afterworld. But as I said, even in this form this book is worth the investment.

-Heikki Hietala, author of Tulagi Hotel

5.0 out of 5 stars Some books should be short... May 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
as it is not this subject matter to be long. With the supernatural, it is best to relive the experience on paper, and get off of it.
I found this wonderful, intriguing, and damn near tears...on my part.
Whoever thought a morgue could furnish such a wealth of opportunities!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Short but Interesting April 13, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I love stories about the paranormal and especially love them if they are someone's actual experiences-- Would have loved this book a lot more though, if it hadn't been an hour's read on a sunny afternoon at the park... It's hard to tell with a Kindle book how short or long it's going to be, and this one turned out to be startlingly short. Hope the author writes more someday, maybe this was just a warm up?

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good and interesting book April 1, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved the book, it was simply written and kept my attention. However, it was wayyyyyyyyyy too short. I'm glad I purchased it on Kindle for next to nothing or I would have been very disappointed if I paid book prices for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ghosts, A Sprit Guide and A Past Life July 8, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Very nice short story's. It is always nice to hear another persons account of things that has happened to them. It just makes one have to consider the things that are not seen. But are happening all around the world.

I found the author rushed through this book. Didn't get a sense of being scared, or surprised, which is, after all, what readers who like to read about these experiences, look forward to. The book was too short, also. Otherwise, a quick read.

3.0 out of 5 stars If You Like this Book... May 25, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Debbie Dombrow Hoffmann's book, "Spiritual Encounters," and her historical fiction account, "The Past Lives of Debbie Dombrow," are well worth your time and money. She is a student of Sylvia Browne and a "psychic's psychic."

The book was very short, and Ms. Alvarez seems to have a penchant for cliff notes, she doesn't "fill out" the stories, it's sort of "this is what happened and I'm sticking to it! Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Short, sweet and to the point
Good stories but I feel like the author for bored with writing by the end of the stories and they would just end abruptly.
