The original and only book on the hauntings of Springfield, Illinois!,
By S. O'Toole (Illinois) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ghosts of Springfield: The Haunted History of Lincoln & the Prairie Capital (Paperback)
Prolific author began his publishing career with the Haunted Decatur series and then turned his attention to Illinois' capital, Springfield, Illinois. This is the only book, to date, to deal exclusively with the hauntings in that city and Taylor has laid the groundwork for anything that follows by uncovering stories that would have been forgotten otherwise.
Here he tells tales of Abraham Lincoln, the Donner Party (which left from Springfield), criminals and Springfield's notrious Lake Club, as well as a host of other haunted sites from around the city. This book is from the early days of Taylor's publishing career and has been out of print for a long time and is increasingly rare. It is a must read for fans of Troy Taylor and the supernatural. |
