My 8 year old daughter and I love this show.
BellasMom
I like this show because it's about people having an adventure and not about social drama or gossip or something like that.

There are no bad episodes, but some of the most compelling include Alien Mummies, King Tut's Tomb and Yeti.

Like the subject line says, love this show and sooooo mad they cancelled it! At least they gave me 5 seasons of it. The host, Josh Gates, is just so likable and fun along with the rest of his crew. The fact he gets excited and runs around makes me laugh and feel excited along with him. I'm glad he's just looking for the truth, he doesn't go into his investigations saying or thinking "this is true" I feel like he goes into them saying "is this true and how can I prove it or disprove it." You also get some cultural experience during his travels which makes it more fun.

Destination Truth is an 'authentic' reality show that takes you around the world in search of bizarre beasts, ghosts and other paranormal goodies. What really makes this show work is the Host/Lead Investigator, Josh Gates. This guy is probably one of the most likable characters you'll see on TV, he's goofy, intelligent, humble, funny-as-hell and a positive force in all of his interactions. Josh and his team do all the hard work so we don't have to; they cross rotted rope bridges, rush into dark woods after the weird sounds they hear, climb mountains and raft treacherous waters. What is most important is that, every few episodes, they bring to the table hard evidence that can be fascinating. But even if you watch an episode where it's clear the rumors of some fantastic beast are probably based on local known animals, Josh and his crew entertain you with hijinks and something like a tour of whatever country they find themselves in. There are no bad episodes, but some of the most compelling include Alien Mummies, King Tut's Tomb and Yeti.

My son has been watching these episodes on tv but he had never seen this one. Was thrilled when I found it could be purchased for only $1.99 and we own it. I think he has watched it about 15 times now in a week.

Josh Gates is engaging and charismatic host, with apparently no fears.
The show takes the team across the world to investigate reports of strange beasts, myths and paranormal happenings.
It's the armchair explorers adventure, visiting sites around the globe that most of us will never visit but can expierience through the exploits of Josh and his team.
