I have so many great things to say about this book and this series that I don't know where to start.

First, I will say that Pressey has pulled out all the stops for this latest installment in the Larue Donovan series. Larue, Callahan, and Mindy just came off a wild time in the last book, but they don't get a second to sit back and enjoy normalcy. Witches, and demons, and ghosts, oh my!

This book had me hooked from the start and at some points, it was very scary and creepy. I loved that I was actually freaked out during the television show scenes. Very well done. It has been a long time since a book actually had me hunkering down under the covers.

Lots of great mystery in this book too. I love trying to figure out who some of the new characters are, where they come from, and what motivates them.

Just one word: Elvis!

I don't want to put any spoilers in my review so I suppose I should stop here. I can't recommend this series enough! I have really fallen in love with these characters since I starting reading these books. I always look forward to a new release in this series.

Do you love quirky, small town characters? Or does the paranormal fascinate you? Ghost stories and psychics? How about the rocking excitement that surrounds Elvis? If you answered yes to those questions then this is for you!
You have the girl - adorable with her own interesting insecurities. The hot guy with a charming way about him. The off-beat, loyal friend and a guest appearance from the ghost of Elvis! Add unexpected evil to this mix.
Although this is the third book in the series, Rose Pressey has written it in a way that allows readers to seamlessly slip into the series at this point.
That's it from me - no spoilers allowed - interested? Well, go and read it - you won't be disappointed.

The Ghoul Next Door was fun, funny, and full of mystery and intrigue. I love reading about Larue Donavan and her ghostly companions. The feature ghost in this third book of the series is the ghost of Elvis Presley. Larue and her best friend Mindy are completely enamored, and their interaction with Elvis leads to many humorous scenarios. But don't be fooled, there is plenty of drama when Larue comes up against a demon and an evil witch. This book was a blast to read and I highly recommend it.

I'll never forget the day I read my first Rose Pressey novel. I was dealing with a big bought of depression and I ended up reading three in a row, one of which was the first Larue Donavan book. I was hooked and hunted her down on Twitter and told her so. She responded with a thank you, tickling me pink.

Today was another one of my down days so I picked up a Rose book and read till I finished, which is sad because now I'm out of Rose books to read! (I had been hoarding this and two others and having a pretty rough few weeks I ended up finishing all of them!)

"The Ghoul Next Door" picks up where we last left Larue, dealing with the aftermath of black magic and allowing the herself to have someone she could call her own, Callahan. The sexy coffee store owner is there making her happy but a darker presence left over from the last book just wont go away. To top it off she is asked to be part if a show called "Demon Hunters" and despite her past decides to accept. With Abe Lincoln and the rest of her ghosts gone, we also get to meet the new crew, which all but one are questionable characters to say the least!

Will her trust or distrust be enough to get her through? Will Callahan's past end up catching up with him? Will she finally accept her role as Coven Leader? Wait, there is more, much more...but again Larue must first accept and have faith in herself and with a little help with blueberry donuts, her best friend Mindy and Elvis she may be able to save the day and herself!

Truly the best of the series so far! If you haven't read a Rose Pressey book I suggest any of the series especially if you like your cozy with a bit of spunk, a touch of hope and a whole lot of chocolate. cherry lattes to wash down the donuts...ill forgive her the diet coke!

This is my favorite series from Rose and I couldn't be happier that they just keep getting better as they go.This 3rd book in the Donovan Larue series made me laugh and smile with all the choas and craziness that surround Larue Donovan a bookshop owner/ghost hunter. I also love that they take place is Kentucky bc like Rose I love there as well, The characters are cute quirky and fun to read about and the ghosts range from sweet and friendly to downright mean and evil. Throw a little witchcraft in there and you can't not love this book.

With All Rose Pressey Books, I should never start reading them when house work needs to be done. Once you Pick them up you can't put them down. The Ghoul Next Door Was Great. With the changes Larue was going through I Was a Bit worried. Even though I Laugh out loud at her testy comments. Seriously was Jealous of the fact she had The King with her this time. If I could I would give book 10 Blueberry Donuts.
