Product Description

This precision monitor wakes you at the first sign of perspiration or drop in skin temperature. DL2032 or CR2032 battery may need to be replaced. The Giant Biosensor Nighttime Cold Sweat Alarm is a device worn on the wrist or ankle that sounds an audible alarm and vibrates to wake those people who experience interrupted sleep due to drenching night sweat moments causing the need to constantly change your sheets & the clothes you sleep in. It triggers an alert upon detecting either a drop in skin temperature or the presence of perspiration which is how the body regulates its temperature. Night sweats may be caused from a variety of factors. Your physician should always be consulted in cases of persistent night sweats. Other than the purchase price, there are no on-going costs to run the monitor other than changing the batteries every six to twelve months. Requires a CR20232 battery (not included) Note: It is normal for your device to sound occasional false alarms. These can be minimized by ensuring the band remains snug during use or wearing on the ankle to keep at a constant temp under blankets.

My wife is Diebetic and I would have to monitor my wife for cold sweats to make sure she was ok. There are countless times that I have woke up and she would be in a cold sweat with her blood sugar 40 or below. The Night Sweat Alarm has woke my wife up when her blood sugar was high and low. On occasion it does alarm when nothing is wrong. However, this is rare. I attribute this to her wearing it on her arm and while sleeping placing it in front of the fan she sleeps with every night including the winter. But I do sleep better knowing it is not up to me to wake her up. I would hihgly recommend this product.

After 20 some years of being a type 1 diabetic, I had an incident where my blood sugar went too low and my husband had to call the ambulance. This has never happened before, and 3 months later, I had a similar incident. My husband was not sleeping well, always checking on me to see if I was hypoglycemic again. I did some research and found this meter. I was a bit leery, but figured it was worth a try. So far, it has awakened me 3 times, twice it was a false alarm (menopausal hotflash) and once it was my blood sugar. Both my husband and myself are sleeping much better since purchasing this alarm system.

Was purchased with hopes to help in detecting problems dealing with low blood sugar. Device sounds off with room temperature changes and not very accurate with body temp. or skin moisture changes. Would not recommend for help with Hypoglycemia

I have serious diabetes, my blood sugar goes very low sometimes down to upper 30s and I go into a coma. I was in hopes this watch would let me know when my sugar was in the 40's or 50's so I could get a coke before going out, but this watch would only buz when I went over 150 and that is not what I need. I bought this watch the first of August 2010 wore it for a week and never did it buz when I was low only when I was high. I returned the watch and received a full refund.

Since reporting the incident and asking for a replacement and/or refund, it has been more than 1 month to get a resolution currently of a denied claim. In my opinion, this product and company is only out for a profit with no real assistance to those that live with diabetes.

I'm a bit disappointed in how this works. I've had several false alarms, which is quite annoying. We've discovered that when I sleep I have my arm under the blanket, but with the heat we have the air conditioner on above the bed. When I take my arm out from under the blanket and the cold air hits my air, the watch thinks I'm low. It's also gone off a few times for no apparent reason.

I love this thing. Been wearing it at night now for just over a month and had only a couple of false alarms. It has alerted me with every low sugar (which is often). Wish it would work for the daytime. I think my husband loves it more since he has not called 911 in over a month with sugars below 30. It is easy to set up, lite weight and comfortable. It would be helpful to have a light to let you know it is on or off. The beeps are confusing and hard to remember how to shut off specially when its going off during low sugar.
