Product Description

Symptoms of Low Blood Sugar while sleeping may include Perspiration or a drop in skin temp.^

This precision monitor wakes you at the first sign of perspiration or drop in skin temp .

Similar to the Sleep Sentry and a fraction of the cost of the Diabetes Sentry, the Nighttime Cold Sweat Alarm is a device worn on the wrist or ankle that sounds an audible alarm and vibrates to wake those people who experience interrupted sleep due to drenching night sweats. It triggers an alert upon detecting either a drop in skin temperature or the presence of perspiration which is how the body regulates its temperature

Night sweats may be caused from a variety of factors. Your physician should always be consulted in cases of persistent night sweats.

Other than the purchase price, there are no on-going costs to run the monitor other than changing the batteries every six to twelve months.

^ Hypoglycemia symptoms are unique to each person and this device does not detect hypoglycemia, only 2 common symptoms.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally I can sleep at night, February 6, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My wife is Diebetic and I would have to monitor my wife for cold sweats to make sure she was ok. There are countless times that I have woke up and she would be in a cold sweat with her blood sugar 40 or below. The Night Sweat Alarm has woke my wife up when her blood sugar was high and low. On occasion it does alarm when nothing is wrong. However, this is rare. I attribute this to her wearing it on her arm and while sleeping placing it in front of the fan she sleeps with every night including the winter. But I do sleep better knowing it is not up to me to wake her up. I would hihgly recommend this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Extremely unreliable, March 3, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Was purchased with hopes to help in detecting problems dealing with low blood sugar. Device sounds off with room temperature changes and not very accurate with body temp. or skin moisture changes. Would not recommend for help with Hypoglycemia

5.0 out of 5 stars Peace of Mind, December 31, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After 20 some years of being a type 1 diabetic, I had an incident where my blood sugar went too low and my husband had to call the ambulance. This has never happened before, and 3 months later, I had a similar incident. My husband was not sleeping well, always checking on me to see if I was hypoglycemic again. I did some research and found this meter. I was a bit leery, but figured it was worth a try. So far, it has awakened me 3 times, twice it was a false alarm (menopausal hotflash) and once it was my blood sugar. Both my husband and myself are sleeping much better since purchasing this alarm system.
