Once those E. coli in my urinary tract saw this fellow coming, they beat it. I felt better in a few hours. Then I remembered we had unacceptable levels of E. coli in our local river. Tossed this in and it gobbled up more than a whole herd of cattle could produce. We don't need expensive water treatment solutions when you have giant microbes like this.
Also, made a very cool stocking stuffer.

I purchased this after I received some other Giant Microbes for my birthday. It's just as cool as the others. The legs are bendable but I have a hard time getting this guy to stand up straight, which I why I give it 4 stars.

My son really loves to play with these microbes. He chose antibiotics and white blood cell too and has battles between the good and the bad microbes! However this one ripped very easily and I had to repair it.

I absolutely love these giant microbes! I first got the black death a few years ago and since then my friends and family have been giving them to each other as gifts. This one made a fantastic Christmas present for a friend who had studied biology. I now have 4 myself and am always thrilled to get a new one. They come with a little card that has a blown up image of the actual microbe along with information about it. Great educational toy for kids or adults!! Bought these for my son (8) who is so fascinated with science. We discuss what the microbe is and does to the human body. He loves them, and now wants his own microscope! It's between this and the Waterbear that is my son's favorite!

These are great prizes for science fairs or any class related project. I gave them to the top three place finishers in the New York State Science Olympiad "Microbe Mission" event. Both the MS and HS division winners loved them equally with the HS kids possibly more so.
