I got three books-on-tape for my grandson, who just turned four, to listen to in the car. This is the one he always asks for. Sometimes he'll follow along in the book and then will ask me to replay it so he can listen to it without the book. The reader is very dramatic yet easy to understand. The story is engaging and the pictures are attractive. I would recommend it.

This was my number one favorite storybook as a child and now it is a favorite of my 2 daughters. The ryhming sentences are silly and the illustrations are fun, but what really makes this such a special book is the imagination behind the story.

Having lived in the USA as a very young child I do not remember much, this book being one of my few memories! I loved it at the time and think, even though it is more than 30 years old, it still is one of the best early childrens books around. Looking for a present for a friends son in English this booked popped into my mind straight away. I can only recommend it.

I bought this book for my then 4 year old son. He didn't really like it and I found it a bit boring as well.

I got this for my first grader son. This book let him use his imagination and he loved it. This was one of my favorite as a kid.

This book was loved by my son and now by his daughter. It is a classic and should be enjoyed by all. It is a simple and great story for many age groups. Just imagine a town making a huge, huge jam sandwich in order to get rid of the hornets! The visual images are wonderful.

I have the original hardcover of this book and LOVED IT as a kid. I bought this book for a friend who was having a baby. I did not get to use the CD, so I do not have much to say about that feature, but the story is great and stretches kids minds into a world of imagination and fun.

I and my baby had a very interesting time with this book.

I ordered this as a gift for my grandniece, and was shocked with what was sent to me by Amazon. The packaging had been opened and the book was missing. I'm glad I carefully inspected it rather than assume it was intact, wrap it for Christmas, and give it to my grandniece. What a disappointment.
