I can't think of a better choice to mix Vol 1 that Ron Trent. He has the knack of making wallflowers MOVE. This cd shows how. Deep, smooth, and earthy vocals combined with a bit of Afro-Funk make this cd stand out. It is a very accurate representation of Ron's production style (if you listen closely you'll be reminded of some Prescription projects). The tracks that grab me are 1, 2, 7, 9, 10 , 12, and 14. The entire cd is very nicely mixed. I hope that Ron Trent is chosen to mix Vol 2, Vol 3, Vol 4...

Chi-Town to NYC, Ron Trent's the master of the game...
Only thing not allowing me to give it a perfect 5 is the ever-present and annoying "Earth is the Place", Dj's have killed that track... why Ron why??? Dig in dem crates my brotha!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Mix, November 28, 2001

I like this mix. The only thing is the mix starts of a little slow to me, but I have noticed the Ron has away of building up to a climax...I equate a good house mix to sex. You have the foreplay, then you really get into it and them the climax. As much as I love Amel, Ron's remix sounds a bit out of place. Other than that the mix will get you moving.

I love the selections here! The cd is blended so well and I'm very much feeling the Amel remix! Ron Trent NEVER disappoints his listners! This is yet again another winner and one to add to the collection in my view!

Wonderful blends of deep soulful house. Ron Trent is spectacular at blending each track carefully into another. The selections are incredible and it makes for a wonderful house cd collection. A MUST HAVE!
