5.0 out of 5 stars 365 pages of strategies
This book contains the strategies from Tony's thick book 'Awaken The Giant Within'. This is supposed to be read one page a day. Little steps are GIANT STEPS if they make you change in a big way. Tony realizes that success is not an overnight thing. It requires daily consistant input and effort. We don't go to the gym once and say 'yay now I'm fit'. A great book to put...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not as good as other "works" of Robbins
First, I must admit that I am a fan of Tony. I like his books and tapes much. They are very helpful during my trouble times and I am ready to recommend them, particulary the "Get the Edge" and "Personal Power" tapes, to anyone who wants to get motivated and take action. 3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not as good as other "works" of Robbins, June 24, 2003
First, I must admit that I am a fan of Tony. I like his books and tapes much. They are very helpful during my trouble times and I am ready to recommend them, particulary the "Get the Edge" and "Personal Power" tapes, to anyone who wants to get motivated and take action. I like Tony' style of presenting things in a logical, rational and friendly manner, elaborating points clearly with great life examples that you can remember and apply them in your life. I particularly like his tapes because he is a great speaker who really can move your heart with his passionate tone and manner (you cant see it but you can feel him moving his arms, for sure).

Back to this book. As it is written in a 365 day diary format with a short passage devoting to independent topics, the bondage between individual passages becomes a little bit weak. I agree with a reviewer that this can be a light and interesting reading on journeys. However, accustomed to taking Tony's works as living guides/tool books, I prefer to rate it a three star relatively to the normal five star in praise of Tony's many other great works.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Refresher Book...but Notes from a Friend good basic, June 14, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Giant Steps : Small Changes to Make a Big Difference (Audio CD)
Two points (one covers a review...the other covers the guy with a grudge towards Tony Robbins)

The book is good for reminding you and keeping you on track if you are one to read stuff but not do it unless you have a check list... have the book in a place you get to every day (chunk it...like with your vitamins or coffee) I found Notes From a Friend better and shorter...it gives you the Top 10 Tools of Robbins Philosophy...each about 5 pages long... and a 10 day mental challenge... easier than digesting the longer books (since 90% of the people don't get past chapter 3 of most self help books)

As for the guy with the grudge (he says he isn't bashing...but he has put a review on each and every Tony Robbins book on Amazon stating why Tony is a scammer) he speaks of doing all the Tony Robbins stuff for 8 years... and yet his complaints and reviews show he read it but doesn't appear to have practiced it... plus he talks of coming from love and acceptance... well his reviews don't seem to come across that way...so he may not think he is bashing...but he is. Even Tony says certain things work for certain people...he speaks of what worked for him and what he managed. The self help industry is flush with people looking for the 'magical answer to fix their lives' I myself can say I have not succeeded in many areas due to not taking the time to work with what was in front of me and jumping all around. I have currently stopped that and am sticking with what is in front of me... giving it a good 6 months of work to see if it is for me...then and only then will I move onto something else. Take what works and leave the rest.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book introducing Tony's techniques in bites., March 31, 1998
By A Customer
"Giant Steps" is an excellent book introducing Tony Robbins' proven techniques and philosophy in small bites for every day use. It's also an invitation to delve more deeply into the work of a great motivator and innovator in the field of personal success coaching. Tony gets results. I've read his books, listened to his tapes and gone to his seminars and my career and personal life are soaring. Any doorway into this man's body of work is a good one, and "Giant Steps" is a great place to start.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy style, good ideas!, March 31, 2001
I always listen to Anthony Robbins tapes in the car. What I like about them is that his style is so easy to listen to. He is both engaging and informative. I think Giant Steps is a great addition to any self development programme you might be on or contempleting at the moment. There a lot of good tapes and books out there by various self-help authors, but what makes Robbins unique is that he not only tells you what to do, he tells you HOW to do it, and how to integrate it into your life. In Giant Steps, the bit I like the most is about self-talk and how it can a change in your self talk can lead to a change in your perceptions which can ultimately have the power to change a part of your interaction with people and your life. He tells you what to do then says do it for 10 days and see what heppens.

5.0 out of 5 stars There are 365 great reasons to buy this book, November 29, 2000

"bgc4" (Santa Clara, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This book isn't meant to be read in a day. If you did you could finish it in less than an hour and you would gain very little from doing so. This book gives you an idea to focus on each day so that you can focus on your goals for 365 days.

Because of my busy life, I do not always get a chance to read the boo each day. Here is a tip for those of you who decide to get the book. Each time I read one of the lessons, I write down the date on the page. This helps me determine if I have been slacking. Like Anthony Robbins says, it is not what you do in any particular day but what you do consistently that allows for progression.
