The snowboarding teacher at the Golden Egg Ski Lodge is the tallest person the kids have ever seen. Could he really be a giant lurking on Ruby Mountain?

This review is from: Giants Don't Go Snowboarding (The Adventures of the Bailey School Kids, #33) (Paperback)
This book was really cool! I liked it best when Hugh Mongus threw giant snowballs at the kids and when they helped him figure out a way stay out of trouble. It made me want to read all the other Bailey School Kids books by Marcia Thornton Jones.

This book is a great quick read for a child reading on a 3rd to 4th grade level. This is a nice series for a reluctant reader. The book can be read in 4 or 5 days by dividing the book in 15 to 20 pages of reading, around 3 chapters a day. Print is easy to read helping a reluctant reader.
The story is fun with the giant suspected to be from Jack and the BEanstalk with referrences to golden eggs, vines, harpes ectt... My son enjoyed this story a lot and there is just enough new vocabulary in it to help him grow as a reader. this would probably be a boring book for a child reading larger chapter books with more of a story line. This series is a little harder to read than the Magic Treehouse series. Would make a nice read out-loud story to a 4 or 5 year old.
