The 1A is a two-wire display stand. Manufactured with two vinyl coated, steel wires machine riveted together for firm tension. The 1A is 3 1/4" in height, 3 3/8" wide, and has a 1 1/2" bend. The 1A is adjustable, lightweight, and compact for easy storage and mobility. This product aids in promoting point of purchase sales and increases visibility of any item. The 1A display stand is ideal for use in small place and to display books, CD's, DVD's, plates, art, and much more!

I purchased the size 2A and 6A to see if it would work for the iPad, and it does. The vinyl coating protects the device. The 6A is great for net-books and ultra-portable laptops up to 12". I use the stand on the plane to prop up the iPad or laptop - they are remarkable sturdy and durable.
The angle of the stand is adjustable to set it to the right viewing angle. dozens of people asked where I got the stand from.
The stand packs easily in my carry on and it makes a useful stand in the hotel room or at home.

I bought these for a shop display and am pleased that they do what they're supposed to with a minimum of fuss! Just make sure you get the right size for your item (not the smallest one if it's a particularly large item).
If I remember correctly, they are even made in the United States. It's nice that a minimum of resources are used to accomplish the purpose (no large plastic items shipped around the world).

I wanted a small stand for my Kindle 2, to hold the Kindle for "hands free" use or just to store it. This stand has been perfect: Very inexpensive, bendable (so I can choose a reading angle that works best for me), lightweight. Highly recommended!
