My favorite guitar,

This is my most versatile as well as easiest-to-play guitar. I've had this guitar for four years now. I was actually shopping for a Les Paul at the time, but its larger fingerboard makes the Les Paul a little harder to tame. I use my SG for everything from rock to jazz and even classical. No kidding! I've done recitals with this guitar for class. There are classical pieces I can't play on my stratocaster but I can on my SG (and on my Ovation, to be fair).
It's not perfect. Both tone labels have fallen off their knobs. And there was a burr in the saddle that destroyed B strings daily until I got it fixed by a dealer (under warranty). But the SG is nice and light and easy on your fingers. If I could only keep one of my guitars, this would be it. If you're considering one, you might check out the Custom SGs as well, as build quality may be better, but they are significantly more money. My SG Standard has only whetted my appetite for Gibsons. Bravo, Gibson! I can't wait for my next Gibson purchase (a Black Beauty, please, with nickel hardware).

When I saw this guitar from the website first time, I did recognize this is what I sought for long time. I think this guitar is enough for a pro but even a semi-pro guitarist deserves it. Powerful mid-low tones and roaring high tones! Whoever trying heavy metal, jazz or blues would like it. Everyone can expect this with a fine finish without any flaw in sound performance.

I've had an SG for a year now and favor it over my American Fat Strat. Real thick sound just like a Gibson should have...but fear not, this axe has some screaming highs as well. Perfect sound, good action, and a snazzy look. Only downside is that it's really heavy. Not good when you play in a grind-core band and bounce around alot. This guitar is good for almost any music except for country. Country isn't good on any instrument.
