Product Description

Gibson's legendary Thunderbird IV bass came to be in 1963 and despite its advanced age, it's still rockin' stages around the world. A favored axe of bassists ranging from John Entwistle to Nikki Sixx, the Thunderbird is known for a strong midrange that really cuts through any mix. The wood used to build one of these bad boys contributes to the unique tone, as the body wings are mahogany and the neck is 9-ply mahogany and walnut. Add to that a pair of powerful humbucking pickups, and the Thunderbird becomes the ultimate tool of bass power!
