I received this book today. It is not even a 1/4 inch thick, and the only things that are in color are the covers, which look like they were printed off a regular inkjet printer. The inside has references to the 'items highlighted in red', among other things, and the whole thing is done in black ink. The covers AND the insides are blurred in printing, and I was VERY disappointed, mostly since I received a different book yesterday for half the price and ten times the information, and very professional. This author is trying to sell you information on low cost baskets, but not because you find a good deal, but because you should shop at dented can stores and use hairdryers to remove labels. I recommend the book Start Your Own Gift Basket Service, by Jacquelyn Lynn, for ten stars. Lynn also includes websites, which this author does not do.

This book is not worth the money. I just started doing research for my business and this book did not offer me one "common sense" thing I didn't already know. She talks more about opening legal clinics than about making gift baskets.
The presentation of the book is embarrasing. There are mistakes everywhere including alot of text that was left out. Topics jump around. The pictures of gift baskets that are included are so grainy you cannot possibly learn how to do anything from them. Spend your money on something better!

There were lots of ideas and information on where to get started, companies to work with, how to contact. It answered lots of questions that had formulated in my mind. Just a really good book to help you make that extra spending money.

Just a note to let you know how pleased I was with the gift basket book I have used my book over and over and made gift baskets for family members and friends for special occasions..anyone can use the easy to follow ideas
and end up with fantastic gift items. We make our own "spa"

I have bought Mabel White books for the last five years and they have taught me great ideas I use every day in my business. When I got into making gift baskets I bought every book out there. I did notice the Mabel White book was the most comprehensive of all. Some books focused on marketing only, and some just on themes. Deborah Dolen, the Author, really laid it out and made it fun and easy. She also makes it clear where to buy real values to save money and has current sources. The others had old no longer around sources. Her DVD that comes with it is awesome. I noticed a nasty comment below and the first thing I could think of was her competition did it who also sells gift basket books. I normally do not have time to leave comments, but I love her work enough to take time and defend this author. Her work is EXCELLENT.

The Book and new DVD video is better. ISBN 1894872118 which is a newer edition than this book.

I purchased this book and it was very content rich, despite not being in four color. I bought every other book on the subject and this book really picked up every aspect other's seemed to lack. Many themes, ideas, ways to save money, tons of photos on presentation and demonstration. But her Gift Basket Book with DVD version was by far the best video I have ever seen on the subject. There she not only gets four color--but multi dimensional and user friendly. I watch it many times because there is so many neat ideas. The ISBN on the DVD/Book is 1894872118 and you can do a search that way. Still, this book is solid in content from start to finish. Alex

I love all her books. Very content rich, but they are becoming harder and harder to find. I has to go to mabelwhite dot com to get her books that are sold out here. Her videos are the best investment I have made.

Dolen hits home with the DVD Video as Alex said below. Still this book is great and has inspired many things other books overlooked. The Video is ISBN 1894872118 and comes with the book anyway. The Quality of the DVD is excellent.

This book was tremendously helpful and full of helpful information. I am opening my own Bath and Beauty online store and I am now going to add Gift Baskets as well. I am so glad I purchased this book.
