This was interesting to read. It wasn't what I expected because I thought the elf and human would fall in love. but the story was still good and it has a nice lesson. And that was to never give up on your dreams, even when all seems lost.

A nicely illustrated, well written Elfquest children's book,
By A Customer
This review is from: A Gift of Her Own (Hardcover)
This book was clearly written for children, but I nevertheless enjoyed it. The author was skilled enough that the simple nature of the plot did not detract from my enjoyment of the book. Wendy Pini uses simple language to evoke impressively complete scenes and characters.
The art is wonderful, with the possible exception of the front cover, and the colors are beautiful. Familiar friends among the wolfriders are rendered in the best Elfquest tradition, and the scenes are well constructed.
