I did quite a thorough search on the internet to find a rocker that was made of wood and built to last. I decided to try the Gift Mark Deluxe Children's Spindle Rocker based on the Amazon description. I am extremely please with the rocker. My two year old granddaughter loves rocking in it by herself and also piles all her "babies " in it and spends hours rocking them. This rocking chair is big enough so she will be able to used it for quite a few years. Its durability is outstanding. It is rare these days to find furniture that is not made of flimsy wood products. This rocker is just the opposite. I tested it out myself and it supported my weight without a problem. I highly recommend this rocker and will be buying more for my two grandchildren who will be born this spring.

We bought one for each of our three daughters. It was so simple to put together, it's a sturdy hardwood, and beautiful! The rungs in the sitting area aren't too far apart (no heads getting into them). The corners are all smooth (no owies). And the seat isn't so far off the floor that it's too hard to sit in; and big enough to have grow room. My 2 year old started rocking in it right away. My 4 year old and 6 year old really enjoy it as well; but they'll have to wait till their birthdays to get theirs. I was extremely pleased with the quality, price, and beauty. I really think this rocking chair might last to be used by my grandchildren.

This is a very nice rocker, bigger than I expected, but it will last (the child) quite a few more years than a smaller one we have.

We bought this rocking chair for our grand-daughter's first birthday. She absolutely loves it. It is very sturdy, so we don't have to worry about tipping over when she climbs in it. I would highly recommend it for any young child. The Wises.

The rocking chair was nice. However the rocker bars on the bottom were crooked on the base. needed to be flat.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my granddaughter. The finish on it is not good at all. My husband put it together and when I inspected it, it had several damaged spots on the finish. If I had bought the chair at a store, I would have definitely returned it but returning online is such a pain that I have just kept it. I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone.

We bought the cherry-finished rocker for our granddaughter 800 miles away from us. The chair is very sturdy and made of solid wood, which was important. But it had a chip in the finish on the seat. Since it is cherry-finished, it really shows up. After reading the other reviews, I'll bet it will be really ugly in a couple of months. Very disappointed because this was a gift.

The rocker is lovely butttt, I think shipping damaged it a lot. The arms are wobbly like they might fall off. I didn't have time to return it for another one so now we will have to eventually re-glue it for our precious great grand daughter. So,I am puzzled as how to review this item.

I bought this cherry finished rocker for my granddaughter for Christmas. She had it only 2 months before the finish started chipping off. The stain and the top coat of varnish. My son-in-law is a wood worker and he could have made one this good or better. I wished I had just got him to make one.... we will be stripping this one and refinishing it soon.

We bought this for our grandaughter's 1st birthday - it is a very nice rocking chair for children as far as the way it was built. Received it really quickly, which I was very happy about. Got the cherry and it looks so cute in her bedroom with her other cherry furniture. That is - it looked cute after WE finished with it. Wood was chipped and scratched. The absolute WORST job of staining I've ever seen. There were HEAVY spots of stain and spots with NO stain. We only had 5 days until her birthday so no time to send it back. My husband & I spent 2 days sanding & restaining this chair. What a pain but it turned out really, really good. Chair is well built and perfect size but the person who stained it needs to find another job. I made a pink ruffled seat cushion and my husband stenciled her name on the back - everyone at her party was "wowed" by it but it was a LOT of work for us.
