5.0 out of 5 stars Great Kid's sofa
We bought this sofa for our 15 month old daughter. First we were a little anxious getting this chair without seeing any reviews but we are very happy with this chair. Our daughter reads books on this chair, has snacks, watches tv, and hides behind the chair to play hide and seek. We researched thoroughly to get the best chair for her and would definitely prefer this one...

1.0 out of 5 stars uncomfortable
The curvature of the back cushion on the sofa is steep (close to 90 degree angle), and my child is very uncomfortable in it.

We bought this sofa for our 15 month old daughter. First we were a little anxious getting this chair without seeing any reviews but we are very happy with this chair. Our daughter reads books on this chair, has snacks, watches tv, and hides behind the chair to play hide and seek. We researched thoroughly to get the best chair for her and would definitely prefer this one to many other popular ones like Pottery Barn's Anywhere chair because
1) It is easy to clean the surface; it almost feels like real leather.
2) It is very sturdy and well-made. My daughter often stands over the seat but it doesn't top over.
3) It is roomy enough to fit two toddlers or have my daughter lay down on the sofa.
4) The drawer in the sofa makes extra storage space to store toys, book, etc. The drawer itself is very sturdy.
5) The sofa looks even cuter and better in person.

5.0 out of 5 stars We love it!, March 17, 2011
This couch looks really awesome in person. It actually compliments our living room, much more so than my daughter's old Dora chair. The pictures really don't do it justice.

The material is really nice; I think it'll be pretty easy to clean. Plus, it's black, so it shouldn't show too many stains anyway.

It's plenty big enough to accommodate my 2 1/2 year old and my 10-month old. He's actually not quite big enough for it yet, so it'll last a long time for him. And I'm sure my daughter will be able to use it until she's at least 4. I also plan to have more kids, so I think I'm going to get a lot of use out of this couch.

This is really stable, nothing like those silly foam couches and chairs. I think this will only tip over if a bigger kid is sitting on it and slamming their back against the back of the couch, trying to tip it over.

I love the legs on this couch; they look really classic, and I think they're made of real wood, same as the frame and the drawer.

As for the drawer, the picture makes it look so small that it's almost obsolete, but it's bigger in person. We can fit quite a few kids books in there, so I think it's perfect. BUT, it's just on a wood track, so it's not that easy to open for a 2-year-old. And you have to close it in such a way to get the back of the drawer over a piece of wood at the rear of the drawer's hole (you have to push down on the front of the drawer to lift the back of it up). And that's pretty much impossible to do if it's weighed down with a bunch of books. So ours is constantly open a tiny bit, but that's ok with me.

I LOVE LOVE this couch, and I'm so happy I went with a cool leather-looking one, as opposed to a cloth one. I highly recommend!

Oh, and some people complain that this and other couches are a lot smaller than they expected...well, it IS a toddler's couch. Anyone older than 4 can easily sit on a regular-sized couch, so there's no point in making this any bigger than it is. The product dimensions are kind of vague, so here you go:

Distance from floor to bottom of couch (height of legs): 2"
From floor to top of seat: 9"
From floor to top of armrest: little over 14"
From floor to top of back: little over 22"
Width of seat: 22"
Depth of seat: 12 1/2"
Total width of couch: 32 1/2"
Height of drawer: a bit over 3"

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for my toddler, March 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have had this couch now for about two weeks, and I am very happy with the quality of the couch. The couch sits about the same height as the Dora the Explorer table chairs that I bought my daughter for her room. The couch is long enough to fit a child and a half, or in my case a child (my almost 3 year old) and my baby (9 months old). I was really worried about buying this couch online without seeing it, but after reading some reviews I thought that I would be worth a try, and I am fairly impressed with the couch so far.

The couch is made of a leather like fabric, and it seems to be put together in a way that makes it sturdy. I read reviews on other couches that say the manufacturer took short cuts to make the couch cheaper, but this couch doesn't feel that way. There is adequate padding on the chair, arm rests, and back to support your child. My daughter loves to sit on the arms, and so far it has held up quite nicely. There is a nice drawer underneath which can be used to store items, and we use it to store my daughter's book collection. She loves putting the books in her couch.

The only thing that is bad about the couch, is the fact that it is really light. Our house has hardwood floors, and the couch gets pushed all over my daughters room. Also when we go to try and pull the drawer out the couch moves across the floor instead of the drawer opening. It is not really a bad thing considering the price, but the drawer on our couch is a little stiff.

I originally wanted to buy a "mini" couch for my daughter that she could use in the living room, but because of the size of the couch and the light weight of the couch it really is better as bedroom furniture.

4.0 out of 5 stars cute sofa, July 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
We bought this sofa 2 weeks ago, and my 2 boys (ages 4 & 2) love it! They can both sit on it together. It's easy to clean & easy to move around. My only complaint is that the little drawer is hard to open. The handles aren't a good shape to get a good grip. I have to jiggle the drawer to try to shake it open...sometimes i have to lean the sofa forward and bang it on the floor for the drawer to open. I think I'm going to change the handles to something easier to grip. All in all, it seems like a good quality sofa...and the price is not too bad either!

5.0 out of 5 stars MY LITTLE DEMON LOVES IT!!!!, May 14, 2010

This review is from: Gift Mark Upholstered Chaise Lounge with Pull Out Drawer (Baby Product)
First off I affectionately call our 14 month old Mongo....he is constantly climbing in on or around thing and has resorted to using the 2 Jack Russels as furniture for laying and sitting on.

Enter this godsend of a chair!

He sits on it not the dogs.
He lays on it...
He slobbers on it( and it wipes right off!)
He drops his snacky snacks on it!

He loves it and so do we!

4.0 out of 5 stars awesome!, December 26, 2011
It looks great even after my 15 month old has jumped on it. It wipes off easily. The drawer is much bigger than you would think from looking at the picture.

The only problem I had was that the original handles were nearly impossible for her to grab. They also are not drilled to a standard drawer size (the distance between the two holes). So when I attempted to replace them with something more manageable I couldn't find handles that would fit. My solution was to put 2 large knobs next to each other instead of each handle. It was easy to unscrew the original handles. It gives her something to hold on to. Not perfect, but it works.

If that were changed it would have been a 5 star!

My 3 1/2 year old daughter loves this chaise. Nice quality, easy to clean. Word to the wise, it is shorter than I thought it would be. But she loves it and seems very happy.

1.0 out of 5 stars poor quality, November 28, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The chaise lounge arrived in a battered box that appeared to have been mailed before. The chaise was missing a leg - it ha never been put on. The drawer fit so tight that I could not open it. the actual sitting space was much smaller than expected. I returned it for a refund.

4.0 out of 5 stars Little person sofa :), February 27, 2011

This is a vinyl sofa that is made for toddler age. It was purchased for our grandson for Christmas. He's a little almost 2 year old monkey. He has stood up on it and it doesn't tip over, a big +! He loves to grab a book and lay down on his "couch" just like Daddy and read his book while catching a ball game on the TV. The drawer is hard to open. But depending on whether you are looking for storage or a sofa----------it's a great little sturdy piece of furniture and Amazon had the best price for this exact piece available from numerous vendors.
