"The Gift of a Memory" is written from the heart and is both touching and comforting to someone dealing with grief. It combines beautiful illustrations and familiar feelings to make a perfect book for anybody suffering the loss of a loved one. I absolutely love the book and plan to share it with anyone that needs to keep a memory alive! Thank you so much!

Beautifully illustrated, the book invites the reader to get in touch with the heartfelt memories that remain after a loved one dies. Recalling memories is key to one's healing and the Gift of Memory certainly helps the reader begin the process of discovering these treasures that are stored in the heart. I highly recommend this book for those who grieve or for those who want to offer support to others by giving them this book.

"The Gift of a Memory" is a tender, comforting message for survivors no matter where they are on the grief journey. There will always be bad days, for the heart knows no passage of time. The book's words curbed my loneliness and acknowledged my pain. I felt reunited with my son once again. There are millions of people traveling the grief journey, people with hurting hearts who are rushing to heal. Healing is never over and "done." It is a forever process. "The Gift of a Memory" is a needed companion during this process.

My son died on Sept 11 in a surfing accident. A family was visiting our city from Iowa and was on the beach when it happened. She was on a family getaway to honor her sons memory who had died two years before. When she got home she sent me a beautiful card and the book in honor and memory of her 18 year old son and in honor of mine. The book sits on my coffee table and continues to bring me comfort each time I read it. Others have read it and I am going to continue this tradition with other Mothers who lose their children. This is a beautiful work of love and compassion to help people in the worst of times. Thank you Marianne!

The Gift of a Memory is a beautifully written book that reflects exactly how one feels and copes at a time of loss of a dear loved one. I will treasure this book.

I was lucky enough to receive this book as a gift from one of my best friends when I lost my brother to cancer last year. I read it when I have had a bad day and need to be comforted, it is a wonderful way to let someone know that you care about what they are feeling and going through.

This book helps with people who lose loved ones. The material inside my help with the grieving process.

My father passed away unexpectantly and my 6 year old son has been devastated. I bought this book looking for something to help him deal with his grief. This book has been wonderful. It has helped him understand ways to deal with his heartache and how to keep the memories of Grandpa alive.

This book is a great gift for someone who has lost a loved one. I purchased 3 so that I could have a couple on hand. It is short with little wording, but the wording that is included is simply beautiful.

This is a wonderful book for a gift to a husband, wife, or parents if a chld dies. However, I ordered six and received only one with no explanation. I have inquired but get no answer back. Very disappointed as I am a grief conunselor and use these books often.
