I listened to two sets of the CDs (One is opening psychic abilities and the other set is about intuition) created by Echo Bodine prior to reading this book. It is a joyful experience to listen to Echo (I tune to her radio talk show sometimes too!). Her CDs and books finally make me realize psychics are not crazy. There are con artists around just like any other professions. But not all psychics are. I met two real psychics before and they do real work to help others. They bring awareness to people's choices in life during difficult times. The true psychics help you invite love and compassion. They create a space and show you the available options by talking to your soul and spirit guides as well as your deceased loved ones.

I love the way Echo talks and write. She has a very friendly style and helped me learn that human's natural gift of seeing, hearing and sensing. I especially adore the section when she talks about the Bible, and the prophets described. It touches my heart for me to realize all along in life, I had pre-judged psychics as the evil spirits. Only then I realize all along I did not see messages clear about God, our souls, intuition and spriit guides. What she said makes sense. True prophets (Shamans, Psychics, etc) are the ones who bring information to human beings to be prepared to life challenges. Not because they can change/avoid disappointment from happening. But with such information coming ahead of time, human beings are prepared to handle life with a higher consiousness which is full of love, kindness and appreciation. It is not the disappointment itself that matters. We cannot run away just because we foresee what is coming from the future. But it is how we respond to disappointments that matters. Psychics' gift helps us learn more about ourselves, others and the life situations for the evolution of spiritual growth.

Again, I really appreciate the author writing this book. It gives me lots of comfort and now I feel honored to be around gifted individuals. Echo's books are treasures. I think one addition to develop psychic and intuition gift is about centering and breathing. I saw two real psychics doing fabulous jobs by returning to the center and return to the breath. Yes, the power of meditations, centering and breath work helps people to open up psychically. Meditations, centering and breathing helps others respond well towards psychic attacks.

This is the first book I have read by Echo Bodine. I am very impressed with her writing style - very reader friendly. And out of all the books I've read on developing psychic abilities, Echo's is the best so far. I especially appreciate her chapter on what the Bible says about psychic abilities. This is something, in particular, that I have struggled with personally. She has helped me to understand where these psychic gifts are coming from and presented Biblical scripture to back it up. I look forward to reading more of Echo Bodine's books.

Struggling with psychic abilities and biblical understanding of them myself, it has been wonderful finding a book that doesn't make the process overly difficult. Echo writes beautifully on the subject matter while remaining very unasuming and down to earth. It's simplicity from the start takes you through the basics and gradually leads you through the misconceptions many people have about these abilities. She offers insight in dealing with personal gifts as well as direction for those wanting to enhance their gifts or starting a professional practice as a psychic reader.

She ventures into the topic of mediumship. This can be uncomfortable for some people, but from personal experience, when you have developed abilities, you are pretty much a telephone anyway and not just for the types of information you pick and chose. That's kind of like a lint brush picking and chosing the types of fuzz it's going to pick up. This book puts those of us who have had these types of experience at ease with an almost matter of fact type explanation of them as well as why some people in particular may have them more than others. Well done Echo!


Echoes of the Soul: Moving Beyond the Light

The thing about this book is that it makes it seem like if you use tools in your work then your not a psychic. Some of the best psychics I know use divanation tools. Theres nothing wrong with the tarot astrolgy i ching or reading palms. Its like anything else in life. We cant cut wood without a saw. We cant boil water without heat. Same concept. Other than that its a all together great book.

I found this book a very intriguing read. Echo always does such a fantastic job in the composition of her books. She not only covers the subject of psychic capabilities but explores each type of psychic ability individually. She also presents the subject of psychic capabilities from several viewpoints, not just the standard cliché standpoint that "all those who are into this sort of thing are evil, devil-worshipers, witches...etc." She presents very valid and thought provoking viewpoints and explanations. I recommend this book to anyone wanting a non-bias and non-pagan explanation for psychic capabilities and for those looking for insight on the subject period.

This book is awesome. I have read it several times since purchusing it and have given it to several of my friends. This book helps to put things in perspective. The author is down to earth and is reader friendly, easy to read and follow. Lot's of good and usable info included.

I read this book after I read Tiffany Snow's "Psychic Gifts in the Christian Life -Tools to Connect" book. That book finally opened me up, and let me see we all have gifts, and all the scriptures to back it up, Holy Spirit has long been the tool for psychic work. In Echo's book, it adds even more to the foundation, and gives me even more to think about. It is time that Christians understand that it is not evil to be very sensitive to the things around them, and that God often talks to people in unusal ways. Share these books with your Christian friends, and help them get over their torn heart too - we were created with abilities, to help one another and glorify God!

When you first learn you are psychic, you are generally a little scared. This book is matter of fact, easily readable, and extremely helpful.

The Edgar Cayce book is a little bit too academic for most people, and if it isn't over your head, it will likely scare the crap out of you (it did for me).

This was an easy read. I appreciated the practical suggestions. I was dissapointed with the Biblical explanations - a bit shallow in research/explanation. In fairness to her she had said that the publisher wouldn't let her give all of the research that she had done. But still what she did explain was lacking in depth. The better read if you are looking for that aspect as I was would be to read Tiffany Snow.

I have read several of Echo's books and all are very good. This is a great starting place to learn how to listen to your intuition and to live a fuller life by trusting YOUR intuition!
