5.0 out of 5 stars Return Policy
Had an issue with one of the items shipped and the company refunded immediately. While I should have gone with something a little sturdier, I would deal with this group again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Thinker bookends
I ordered these for a graduation present and was very disappointed with the quality. They feel cheap, and are not heavy enough to really function as bookends. I want to send them back, but wonder if it is worth it to pay return shipping. Don't get stuck with these.

1.0 out of 5 stars Designed by Someone Who Doesn't Own Books, February 2, 2008

Am I wrong to think that a bookend should be heavy enough to hold up books? These bookends, while having a decent enough appearance, have the heft of a cheap plastic toy.

Oddly, the product description gives the shipping weight as 6 pounds. These items are nowhere near 3 pounds each. My postal scale puts them at 11 ounces each. Maybe heavy enough to hold up a couple of paperbacks.

The design of the bookends does not support the books and they tend to lean sideways.

These are for decoration at best. There is no direction that you can put these that will hold the book vertical. For the books that I have (big and heavy), if you don't hold them vertical, they fall. Not only that, these are very light and the felt is slippery enough that they will just allow the books to "push" them out of the way. Rodin had a great idea with "The Thinker," and so did the people who wanted to use the statue as a bookend. They should have done more thinking, however, to make them also work.

These bookends are totally useless. There is no way they are heavy enough to hold up books.

Thought this product would have some weight to it. very dissapointed, no weight at all. Bookends don't hold anything.

2.0 out of 5 stars All Looks, No Practical Use, December 17, 2007
Unfortunately these bookends probably weigh under 1 pound making them useless for actually holding any books in place. If you want a low priced set of thinking men scupltures made from resin maybe these are for you, but if you are like me and were actually wanting a product that would hold your books then I would advise you to find other bookends.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing and misleading, May 6, 2009
This review is from: Brass Thinker Bookends (Kitchen)
When I ordered this item I expected it to be able to function as, well, bookends. When I got it, I was very disappointed. Combined, the "bookends" weighed under 1 pound, a far cry from the advertised 6 pounds. Also, the quality of the product is poor; it was the feel of a cheap piece of plastic. Truly, this is a subpar set of bookends.
