This book is one of the most inspirational books I have ever read. I am 19 years old and I've made many mistakes in my life. This book explained the facts to me in a straight forward and easy to understand way without being judgemental or condescending. I reccomend that every parent buy this book for their teenagers. I wish that I had read it sooner. You are told your whole life to "wait" but nothing ever got into my heart with it the way this book did. I actually have already purchased it and given it to 6 of my friends! That is how great it was. The eight week bible study was also extremely helpful and it has inspired me to start a study group for the high school girls at my church. I've been searching for something that would get the message across that I didn't get in high school and here it is! What an awesome picture of God's gift of sex and the beauty of waiting and the wonder of his forgiveness! As the authors repeat again and again to hurting women "For this Jesus died". These words are what caused a breakthrough for me. Please pick up this book! It is a blessing in a world where we are bombarded daily with the world's view of sex!

If I could, I'd buy a copy for *every* single Christian woman out there, no matter their age. I did not become a Christian until age 19, and by that time I had given myself away to a small number of meaningless sexual encounters, not because I "wanted to", but because I didn't know any better. No one had ever taught me that my body, my sexuality, and my virginity were special gifts to be held onto and given someday to the right man. And this isn't another one of those tight-lipped, "all sex is evil" books written by some stuffy old church ladies, these women fully acknowledge the joys of a woman's sexuality, provided that it is kept in line with God's perfect will for us. It's true, I wish I had read this book years ago...but I'm just so thankful that I have it now.

This is a GREAT book! The span of areas it covers surprised me... God's view of sex and the beauty of giving yourself as a "whole" gift to your husband, the consequences of living our own way, the healing available through Christ, and *practical* ways to help guard the gift. Sometimes it's hard, in our culture, to be passionate and remember the "why" of staying pure until marriage, but this book is a great tool to help any woman who wants to renew their mind in this area. GOD has the BEST in mind for us...
The only thing I didn't like is that it's very focused on "when you get married" and really, there's no guarantee for that day to come. But it also talks about doing it for GOD, not just the hope of a husband.
Read it, digest it, and do the Bible study in the back! :o)

For such a long time, I have hunted and searched for a book about virginity and the purpose(s) behind it. Just about all Christian single books were about dating. Gift-wrapped by God is an excellent book for women (and men). The book talks about the reasons God intends for us singles to keep our virginity. In a world where having sex in or outside of marriage is the majority, those who are not having sex feel outcasted and often contemplate if refraining from sex is worth it. I AM HERE TO TELL YOU THAT IT IS. It is not just about giving yourself physically to your future spouse but it is about giving your unindivided attention, your total self to God. Refraining from sex is your worship to God. The book even talks about renewing your life back to God if the gift has been unwrapped. There are several study questions, poems, scriptures, and life stories to encourage singles to continue the path of purity. I recommend this book to every single. Every single should find out about his/her gift wrapper, for we are all gifts from God.

I am a convert to a church that has 11 million members and never ever have I heard such a loving message with such conviction regarding why I should wait until marriage to have sex. This book has helped me erase terrible things that have happened to me and to regain the feeling of innocence that I had lost from making foolish decisions. I have never felt so close to Heavanly Father, his Son, and The Holy Spirit in my life. So far I have read the book three times.

Although I am not under 13, I am still seen as a child to others. I am still a teenager (17 yrs old) and although I havent been pressured into sex, many of my friends have lost their virginity and now, are regretting it. Unfortunately these days, movies, songs and other books exemplify sex as something that is just given away to anyone. "Gift-wrapped By God" does the opposite of that, and basically tells you that everything He has given you is a gift and to put thought into using these gifts. This book just reassured everything that I have been waiting for and that my purity is one of the many gifts that I have been so blessed to receive from God. Every teenage girl should read this! And what the heck, give teenage boys some insight and have them read it as well so that the pressure to have sex and "fit in" doesnt need to be there anymore. If more teenagers these days actually read this book, there wouldnt be as many meaningless, drunken, one-nighters and immature boys may actually grow up a little faster and realize that everyones virginity is a gift from God!

I loved the way this book made me feel ::special:: as a woman of God. The authors have a way of wrapping you up in the comfort of their kind words and expressions. It was truly an experience. I cherish this book dearly and I am still working on completing the Bible study section which is also very ::healing:: Thank you God for blessing these women with the inspiration to write on such a tender painful subject.

I read this book my senior year in College. My first three years would have been a lot different!! I have had this book for 4 years and its message has helped me articulate "Why Wait" to my friends, and even on dates!!!

This book was so helpful to me as a single woman. It talks about sex in a healthy way. It reaches women from a variety of backgrounds and gives hope to those of us who are searching for the mate we long for!

It's wonderfully written with true stories. It's very relevant to today's culture full of sexual temptations and confusions. I highly recommend it to every parent who has daughters and to every woman who wants to understand their value in God's sight.
