Gifted author and illustrator Marianne Richmond has touched the lives of millions over the past decade through her publishing company, Marianne Richmond Studios, Inc. Her uplifting creations are sold nationwide -- from corner gift shops and bookstores to mass merchants and department stores.
Since her start in 1991 with just 20 greeting cards, she has become a recognized creator of numerous award-winning books, hundreds of cards and bright, colorful gift products. Two of her books -- I Wished for You, an adoption story and Fish Kisses and Gorilla Hugs -- are Book of the Year award winners from Creative Child Magazine. Several of her other titles are Mom's Choice Award winners.
What makes Marianne unique are her abilities as both writer and artist. When asked where her ideas come from, she says, "I try to be in tune with people's life circumstances. We all share universal emotions around certain life journeys ... and I think my gift is to capture those through my art and words."
Marianne lives in Minneapolis, MN with her husband, four kids, and their beloved Border Collie, Clay. Marianne Richmond's book is absolutely wonderful, warm, touching and sunny!!!! As a grand, it portrays the job to a tee.It is both humorous and heartwarming.I can't wait to send it to my new grand friends!!! The illustrations are colorful and make one feel so good all over.I read the book to my Mom, who is now the greatgrand-she loved dit!!!
