And once you remove a pot, the hanger becomes unbalanced.

I was intrigued by this pot hanger due to its small size. I have a small kitchen and only need to hang about four kitchen cooking pots. However, I just installed this pot hanger, and I am very disappointed:
1) No mounting hardware
2) Most importantly, it is not engineered correctly, assuming it is to hang kitchen pots. All the pots must be in balance for this hanger to be level. And once you remove a pot, the hanger becomes unbalanced. Given the imbalance, the other hooks/pots slide down via gravity. This is not practical at all.

I would avoid this hanger and find another one! I will be removing it.

I like this hanger with a couple of caveats. Here's my breakdown:

Pros:
Small size
Lots of hangers
Sturdy
Easy to assemble
Inexpensive

Cons:
Because of it's design (one ceiling hanger) you have to keep the weight balanced on either side of the central ring. The pot hangers are not welded to the ring and will slide. This could be remedied by affixing something to the ring on either side of the hangers. (rubber band, maybe?) The advantage of having the hangers loose is that it's more flexible for different sized pots and pans.

I find the hanger pretty useful for my needs. Just make sure you understand that it must be evenly balanced.

This is the worst design for a pot hanger you could ever imagine!!!! If you want to spend most of your time trying to balance the pots so it doesnt flip to the side instead of actually cooking , then its for you ! (after a long time of balancing, once you get it just right, you use a pot to cook and have to do it allllllll over) The other reviews are fake with the exception of the one guy who informed a "beware" I just did not listen :( Besides the engineering falling short of something a 2 year old scribbles on a fresh painted wall, let me say one thing I wish that 2 year old did the painting on this becasue the "black" paint is all runny and sticky, some parts are shiny some, matte black and screws are silver YUCK!! oh gosh its just total JUNK!!!

What it comes down to is price & quality. You buy cheap & you get cheap, however sometimes you can buy cheap & get better then top grade quality. This was no exception to the saying you buy cheap, you get cheap. It is ok, but nothing fancy and really really small. Perfect for 7-8 pans and that is it. If you put 9 on it, you are going to have pans clinging together and getting scratched. The hooks need to be bent more because although at first they appear to have a snug fit, the moment you remove a pan off the hook, you are getting the hook as well. I would not order this again and will never order anything this small or cheap off Amazon. I would stick to the $50 + range for a nicer pan rack. However this would be perfect for a small apt with someone who has just a few pans and little space but has HIGH ceiling's.

******UPDATE OCT-04-2013**********
I received a E-mail from the seller saying they wanted to compensate me for this product since I was not happy & they would contact the makers and let them know my complaint after reading my review, plus they said I did not have to return product back to them (good thing because I am traveling at the moment). I did except this offer & was shocked to have received a e-mail of this sort. After excepting this, it took 2 days and the money was out into my bank this morning. This morning I got another e-mail from them asking me to kindly remove my review, this made me mad because this was my own opinion, money spent & experience, so why should I have to remove my review when that was NEVER part of the deal or even talked about when they sent me the e-mail? I am NOT removing this, rather updating for everyone to see & know what happened. HOPE THIS HELPS OTHERS WHEN PURCHASING.

My only wish is that this was stainless steel, but black is a good second best choice. Easy to assemble and perfectly proportioned for my limited space, this pot hanger has solved my pots and pans storage problem. Wish I'd found it a couple of years ago. :-)

I could not afford the big pot hanger, so bought this mini one for my granddaughter's wedding shower. She was thrilled and has now put it up in her new apartment.
