I bought this as a gift, but knowing that these kinds of small fountains can be less than fulfilling, I decided to test it out first. It has enough weight to make it hard to accidentally knock over. Construction and initial quality is very good. Assembly was very easy and straightforward, though the pickup tube is a bit longer than necessary. It worked very well, with no splattering (a big concideration when using indoors). The pump is almost noiseless (another big concideration when using indoors) and the flow is adjustable. There is little or no water sound with the flow set fully open (I did not test it on any other setting). There were no recommendations on how much water to start with, so I experimented until I found that between 4 and 5 cups was plenty. Another missing recommendation was what type of water to use; I suggest filtered or distilled.

This is a unique looking fountain that doesn't work due to poor construction. The bowls come separate and mount on each other. Unfortunately the mounting mechanism is so poor that the bowls tilt the wrong way and the water spills all over the floor. Good idea, very poor manufacturing.

I think this is probably the worst product I've ever bought in my life. When I bought the item, it came in a cardboard box with packing material that was literally falling apart if you tried to touch it. They were kind of like pellets, but were cracked and broken. They had some weird magnetic charge and got all over the floor and all over my hands and wouldn't come off.

Then when I finally got the product out of the box, I was gravely disappointed. The photo is deceiving. The product is made of cheap plastic. It doesn't even stand up straight. I filled it up with water, plugged it in and it fell over, spilling water everywhere. The motor made a loud noise.

I literally took this product and threw it in the trash on the same day.

When I received this fountain, it was all in one piece. Then, as I was setting it up, the piece that connects the top to the base just snapped right off. I decided to just throw out the top three pots and keep the base, and luckily, the fountain worked fine. But it's not a high quality product!

I've wanted a tabletop fountain for a long time, but every one I tried seemed to spit water all over the place and get yucky water. So I really did my research before buying this one. The reviews said it does not spit water, and it doesn't. It has a nice flow from one level to another. It arrived in a box in a box arrangement, packed well in styrofoam. It was heavier than I expected. It looks like cheap plastic from the pics, which I didn't like, but the actual fountain really does look like granite, and looks and feels substantial. There is a warning sheet inside for electrical safety but no instructions on how to put together. The middle bowl has a square peg on the bottom that slides into the bottom bowl, the top then slides down over that. The pump has to be placed under the middle bowl, using the suction feet to stick to the bottom. Place the tube from the top bowls over the peg on the pump. Then make sure you fill with water over the pump. I added a drop of Fountec to the clean water to avoid the slimes. It makes a lovely flowing water noise straight from the box, no need to add rocks, etc. The pump is extremely quiet. I love to sleep to the sound of the flowing water, and my houseplants like having the extra humidity. I'm very happy with purchase and would recommend to others.

(If your fountain splashes, try moving the switch on the side of the pump to a slower flow. I have mine on the lowest setting.)

I'm happy I bought this:
- The pump is very quiet
- Simple, modern and beautiful design. Very pleasant to look at.
- Easy setup. Took about 3 min. Would be nice to include a setup diagram in the package.
- To create more waterfall sound, put a stick across the bottom bowl where water runs through.
- Very relaxing, especially with new age music in the background.

Now I get to enjoy a little Zen moment any time I want..
