We live in a world of tremendous complexity. A world of multi-voiced synthesizers and forty-eight track recording studios. Listening to her Gifts from Heaven I am reminded of how soul-satisfying and moving a beautiful melody can be in the hands of a gifted pianist/composer. You can feel the love in every note. Conceived in Israel, several of the thirteen pieces are based on ancient Hebrew melodies. All of the tracks have a balm-like quality to them: soothing, nurturing, and bringing a deep sense of peace and fulfillment. Shoshannah's music evokes a classical old world beauty. It's elegant simplicity is the loving outpouring of a pure soul. The composer is a servant of the Divine.

It really is too bad that we are only able to give a 5-star rating, when anyone who has listened to Shoshannah's "Gifts from Heaven" piano solo clearly knows this is a multi-star recording (yes, straight from the 7th Heaven). Thus, for us mere-mortals who have no connection beyond the seventh Heaven; I'll give it a ...7-star rating!

I had the special privilege of not only meeting Shoshannah, but actually having a 2-hr piano/music lesson with her. After attempting to play the piano for 45 years, I so-o-o wish I could have comprehended and actualized the sheer beauty of the musical Kabbalah which flows through her and manifests itself through her fingers "hovering" above those 88 keys.

Though I am an avid, and critical, listener of "classical" music, I highly recommend this recording; yes, even to those still stuck in the 18th Century! Her high-octave technique is truly remarkable and the weave and mixing of patterns and themes could possibly be a modern-day response of meditative emotions as fugue. It is truly amazing music which (as other reviewers have commented) I could [and do] listen to over & over & over again.

I cannot stop listening to this cd! I was so excited to see that Shoshana's music was available through Amazon.com. I picked up this album in Israel at Tzaddiks Deli in the Rova Yehudi in Yerushalayim {Jerusalem}. I was walking by to go to the Kotel{the wailing wall} and this totally magical piano music was moving through the holy air and I followed the music until I got to Tzaddiks Deli where I am told that Shoshana's cds and tapes are being sold like hot cakes there! Now I am in America, and here it is on amazon! This music is something really out of Heaven's Gates! Never in my life, did I ever come across music that I could listen hours on end every day and never tire. It brings up my mood in joy. It prepares me spiritually. It relaxes me. It makes me want to dance sweetly. It opens my heart. It helps me sleep. It awakens me. It makes me feel like I am in love. It makes me one with the universe! I just had to write this review. transformational and healing-itis the best album i heard ever

I agree with the other reviewers of this C.D. It is an especially wonderful piece of music.

I think it is a combination of the traditional religious texts and melodies, plus the original Carlebach music. I find the solo piano somehow soothing and peace-making.

The music simply makes me happy. I love it.

I am listening to it now as I write this and it is the perfect prelude to 'Kabbalat Shabbat.'

Shoshannah's music is amazing, there is simply no other way to put it. I have never met anyone who did not connect with it. Your inner resources reveal themselves as the artist's gentle strains lead you deeper into your soul, toward tranquility and oneness. Certainly much better than any supplemental tranquilizer!

Shoshannah's music is life-transforming. I have a friend whose daughter was born to it, and I myself was healed in a very deep way by this amazingly humbling piano music. I practice deep feeling therapy and it is the sole/soul music I use in my therapy practice.Gifts from Heaven evokes feelings,tender childhood memories,deep and elevated love, and it seems to bring my patients and myself included into a place of Oneness and Wholeness with the Creator.I am told that Shoshanna's new CD is coming out named "Rivers of Light". I listen to this cd constantly, and I never tire of it. Beinga pianist myself, this is the most gentle yet uplifting music. Themelodies and the approach in which they are played is eternal in quality, and mystical in feeling. I feel relaxed and soothed and at the same time elevated. Shoshanna's piano mastery is beyond words for me to express, but if I were to describe it, I would say that she has this uncanny ability to float on top of the keys, so gently, with such a pure and crystal clear sound so in control of the notes, yet a feeling is generated like piano music is coming from the clouds. I once saw Shoshannah performing in Israel when she was on tour with Shlomo Carlebach, and I was a fan of her music ever since. The album Gifts from Heaven flows beautifully from one spiritually lovely melody to the next,always flowing and always profoundly beautiful. A devoted fan,Danny
