This board really is a great buy.

The built-in dual antenna WiFi/WiDi module is great, but again user documentation is sparse.

Setup was easy and it works great as a hackintosh.

Hello.

I have been "out-of-the-loop" regarding PC hardware but I decided to build a mini system to get rid of the huge PC Case I had on the floor so I opted for a Mini-ITX system. The price was right on this Gigabyte board (I'm partial to Gigabyte). Specs, well, I wont talk about those but I will say that the board performs as expected.

Pros:

1) Wifi!!
2) Accepts newest Intel i3/i5/i7 gen 3 CPUs (no firmware updates needed)
3) Enough USB2/3 SATA2/3 ports for my use.

Cons:

1) As most mITX motherboards, if you use the wrong cooler YOU WILL BLOCK the PCI-Express slot! Right now I'm using the stock Intel cooler :-(. The only 2 mini-ITX motherboards that are designed differently are: Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe and the new ECS Stinger Z77 mini-ITX board. I will probably try one of those in the future... not sure.
2) Overall board design is a bit iffy... I thought I was the only one but I read a review online (Anandtech I believe) and it seems I'm not alone in this.

Anyway, all in all I can't fault the design that much. My system works as it should and the board seems to handle everything well. Four solid stars!

** First "review" :) Yay! **

I used this motherboard for an hackintosh build with an Ivy Bridge i3 and it worked well but does not allow me to utilize the built-in wifi or bluetooth functionality with OSX.

Installed this 3 weeks ago in my new htpc build, running great so far. I put this in the Lian Li PCQ12-B HTPC case with a Core i3 T, stock cooler, and 128GB SSD, along with 8 GB RAM. The two external wifi/bluetooth antennas that come with the motherboard are a little annoying but I hid them in the back of my media stand however they do provide great wifi reception. Huge tip - hold down the "Delete" key to launch the BIOS screen on boot, I was just tapping it repeatedly as the instructions said and I kept thinking the build was wrong. Nope, just hold it down on boot and BIOS should pop up. Also note, there is no mini external speaker or power button built into this mobo for post beeps, perhaps this was asking a bit too much from a tiny miny-ITX board, not a bid deal.

Installed this mobo in a mini-itx case, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008R524GS/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, and with an intel i3-3225, and 3 western digital NasWare drives. The board has 4 onboard sata ports, and the case supported 3 hard drives plus an optical bay, so that worked well. Dual gigabit lans is a plus for any server, and with the included wireless card, this could be used as a wireless access point too. The intel raid (firmware raid, or fakeraid) worked very well, and the bios recognized the array and the container even though I set those up with mdadm. It runs ArchLinux, headless, and has not missed a beat yet. Two things to note, however:

1: There is an included system speaker in the bag of assorted goodies (at least I am fairly certain it came with the motherboard, it could have been from the case). However, I have searched and searched, and cannot find a system speaker header on this board, not in the io panel header, not anywhere on the board. It would be nice to have a system speaker for running a headless server, to let you know that the bios has passed POST, but it's not an absolute necessity, and, while a headless server is probably not the intended market for this board, I think that its features will make it fairly common for that.

2: There are two HDMI ports and one DVI, but the bios cannot use the hdmi ports for output. I had hooked it up to a TV just so that I could configure the BIOS and do the initial installation, but it would not work. I had to find a DVI to VGA adapter and use a regular monitor instead.

Overall, I am happy with the purchase, and with running a 100% duty cycle, we will see what kind of durability this board has.

i do love this board. It is perfect for running 4 drives and 16 gigs of ram in a small box.
It is slightly limited for overclocking [H77 rather than the more featured Z77], but does come with a handy windows application for boosting those settings that may be changed.

The board is extra sturdy, and has lots of sound and usb 2 and 3 ports. The soldering and layout seem ideal. If you wish to build a small, quiet and fairly fast machine, pair this with a I5 or I7 processor and get busy! For the tiniest box, an low powered I3 will do lots of thinking without overheating.

Keep in mind the limitations of the mini ITX platform while you consider this. there are only 2 slots for memory, and 4 attachments for drives. I used all of those in the initial build, and can not add memory or drives now. On the other hand, the tiny form factor has allowed me to create a very small box that seems alright on top of the table.

Seriously. This board could not have been easier to set up. Zero difficulties whatsoever. I mounted it in the case, installed CPU, RAM, attached power, SATA and turned it on. It booted up the first time, and has been running without issues for the past couple of weeks.

It's also got tons of features packed in that little space. This board really is a great buy.
