If you know what BSOD means, you can probably handle the install of this highly advanced PCIe card. Like many others I too had issues with the install and found support to be lacking. There's only an email support form on the Gigabyte website, no tech support contact phone number for a quick coaching. The instructions are lacking at best...

Once up and running the card is phenominal. Not many ISPs actually offer 300mbps, but if your's does, get ready to smile. Not many Blutooth 4.0 products are available, but this technology is backward compatible with all previous versions.

I believe there is an issue with Windows 7 that is causing these headaches; explaining why an otherwise simple installation of basic harware is causing so many people problems. Take a deep breath and dive in! Tips: Have a standby PC or tablet ready to search the internet help forums. Don't conduct this install during a period when you will need to be back on the PC in a matter of minutes. These are just pointers, you may encounter no issues at all with this product. Above all, take a deep breath and don't get frustrated. Your system is not going to crash permanently, you just need to do some minor tweaking. :)

A few more ideas; install the drivers before installing the hardware. Then, go to the search bar behind the Windows icon and type 'msconfig'. From there go into selective startup, uncheck 'load startup items', then click on the services tab, select 'hide all Microsoft services', then click 'disable all' to disable the rest. Click Apply and you'll get a box that says you need to restart for changes to take effect. X out of the box and shutdown your machine (not restart).

This works as advertised.
The dual networks ( WiFi & BT ) in one expansion card is very attractive.
Easy installation and set up of card.
Antenna placement was the biggest challenge
Reasonable priced.
Delivery was quick, and without any issues.

I'm not sure where the troubles come from installing this product. I mean this kindly: If this was a challenging install for you, you likely need more experience with building or repairing PC's.

The install could not have been more simple. Plug the card in, install the drivers and go.

One silly mistake I made was not connecting the USB as I assumed it was for some superfluous feature I didn't care about. It is however necessary for bluetooth as the bluetooth isn't running over the PCIe bus. Not sure why they did this, but if you follow the instructions it could not be simpler.

Bluetooth connected to my iphone 5 and started playing music in under 10 seconds.

Wireless speed is excellent. Faster than any internet provider currently offers. (Unless we've cracked 300, and I haven't noticed)

Two small gripes:

1. The bracket didn't line up perfectly and needed to be gently bent to fit my case. A very common problem even in high end video cards.

2. The soft felt bottom on the antennae. It's perfectly non scratch which might be what they wanted but I would have preferred something grip-y. They slip off of things easily.

Neither detracts from the products performance.

Installed on windows 7 64 bit on a mid level asrock motherboard. No problems at all.

Highly recommended.

I purchased this card about two to three months ago and I am impressed. The antennae are very good as they are cabled and can be moved for better reception, the speed and signal strength is great, and although I have only used the Bluetooth 4.0 part at 2.1+EDR speeds, it works flawlessly. The drivers are easy to obtain from the gigabyte website, but be warned, without them the card will not even have a single WIFI light on to even show it is working. This card works on a custom Atheros chip so no native windows driver will work with it. You also need to make sure you have a free internal USB 2.0 header on your motherboard for connecting the Bluetooth part of this card. Overall its high quality, very well thought out, and works like a charm. I did a more in depth review of it on my blog if anyone is interested.

I was a little leary of this install in Windows 7 Pro after reading some of the reviews, but I followed the plain simple instructions in the manual and it worked perfectly. Shut the machine down, installed the card, booted the machine, installed the software, rebooted and that was all there was to it! My Droid phone connects easily to the WIFI or Bluetooth. No complaints here! I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because nothing is perfect and there ain't no ten!

I have to say that it is nice that it works however, it did not come with the female USB spot on the top of the card like in the picture. Mine only came with the internal pin one. This is ok but I would have rather had the option to have both, I will be getting a USB card now because I am already using all of mine to begin with.
