If you want bang for your buck, this is the card to buy.

We both play DayZ Standalone, which is pretty GPU/CPU intensive, this card runs the game very well on high+ settings... good FPS.

The Gigabyte cooling solution for this card is whisper quiet and also cools things very well.

The Gigabyte GTX 660 OC was a nice upgrade for my system and really fit the performance level I need at a pretty good price point. I was actually surprised at how much of an upgrade this was over my old GTX 295. The GTX 295 was a top of the line "SLI on a single card" solution in early 2009 but it pales next to this little GTX 660. At 1650x1080 in Guild Wars 2 (and using the auto detect routine in the game) I was only getting around 22-23 fps with the GTX 295. That was with many of the graphics quality settings in the moderate/medium category. With the GTX 660 OC the autodetect routine in GW2 bumps up virtually all of the settings (textures, visual range, etc.) to their highest values and I'm getting around 50 fps. That a pretty nice bump for moving from a 3 year old "top of the line" card to a current "mid grade" card. It's also going to lower my power bill as the old GTX 295 had a TDP of 289W. The GTX 660 has a TDP of 140W. I could actually add a second one to my system (using SLI) and still use less power than my old GPU.

The Gigabyte cooling solution for this card is whisper quiet and also cools things very well. After an extended gaming session, I find the card temps get up to around 55°C and fall back to about 40°C within a minute of exiting the game. The two fan design doesn't directly vent any of the GPU heat outside of your case, so adequate case ventilation is needed. People working in smaller, cramped cases may want to opt for a different brand that uses a blower-style cooler, but that type of cooling also tends to be louder.

As documented by testing at HardOCP, the GTX 660 line of cards is limited in overclocking potential due to some design choices that Nvidia made with this chip (in particular the 140W TDP acts as a "governor" for higher overclocks).

I bought this card before I realized I didn't have a PCI Express 3.0 slot in my ASUS P7P55D LE Motherboard with a Corsair 850 Watt PSU. I did some research and found out it would work in a PCI Express 2.0 slot but was still nervous when I installed it. Now that installation is complete and I have tested I can say with certainty that it is both a great card and WILL work with no problems in a PCI Express 2.0 slot although you might see a slight loss of maybe 1.0 FPS or less from optimal 3.0 installation. This slight loss is based on published reports as I haven't benchmarked this myself yet. As someone has noted you only need one 6 pin power connector to hook this up to the power supply and your power supply probably already has that available. BTW this card recently received a 9.0 "Kick Ass" award from Maximum PC.

After exclusively buying EVGA Graphics Cards (last one was a GTX 580) I finally jumped ship after a bad customer experience with them and boy am I glad I did. Having a non reference cooler makes a world of difference in sound and cooling. This card if left on default settings never went over 60 C and was still silent doing so. I manually set the fan speed with MSI afterburner to stay at the default 40% until it hits 60 C which is very rarely even at that low of a fan speed. That is my only gripe about this card is that the lowest fan speed of 40% is a little high since at idle my GPU runs cooler than my Hard Drive and is actually the loudest fan in my quiet system even though it is not loud at all. Overclocking wise I was able to push +70 core and I just stuck at +100 on the memory even though it would go higher. Been running strong ever since. I dont think I could ever go back to a reference cooler again. Now my only problem is do I get another one for SLI or jump up to the Gigabyte GTX 680 Windforce since I bought this when I was on a tighter budget.....

Performance wise paired with a i7 3770k at 4.4ghz and 16gb of ram I get great framerates in any game I have thrown at it. Since it does have a 192 bit memory bus once you up the AA it can struggle a little but gaming at 1080p I rarely set AA over 4x MSAA so it has not been a problem for me. I have yet to try Crysis 3 but according to benchmarks and once driver optimizations are live I should be able to run that on very high with no aa and still maintain over 40 fps.

I was looking for a product that was reasonably priced and would support at least 4 monitors. This card does it all.
Installation was a breeze. I have three monitors connected to it and it still runs incredibly fast as well as it's very quiet, so no annoying fan sounds.
Window system score was max (7.9) for both graphics tests. Did I say this card was fast? Highly recommend it.. and it supports SLI.. not sure why you'd need it as fast as it is, but if games go beyond it current capabilities, I can add 1 or two more of these bad boys in an SLI config. How cool is that?

Great job Gigabyte! Now I have to finish my rebate form...to get my $20 back.

I cant say enough to justify buying this card! My friend bought the gigabyte gtx 660 ti version and the frame-rates were only 6 fps ahead (favoring the 660 ti), and the 660 was $70 cheaper!
I am running Skyrim, BF3, Arma2, and G-Mod at the highest resolutions on 1080P.
i cannot recommend a better card for the price!
