Product Description

GiiNii GN-311 Black 3.5 Digital Picture Frame. The frame specfications are 7.22 x 9.20 x 2.94. A 4:3 Screen with 320 x 240 resolution with a 5 in 1 slot memory card reader and memory stick socket: SD Card, MS Card, MMC, MMC+, xD (Micro SD, Mini SD, MS Duo with adaptor). There is a USB Port for USB Flash Drive or cable connectivity to most cameras or PCs. The Slide show works in order or random with transitional effects. (JPEG-TIF-GIF) Other features include: Clock/Calendar, on screen programming, zoom in and thumbnail viewing, brightness/contrast, and automatically rotates side-way pictures.

I bought this from the bargain rack ($15.00) at the Walgreen's not ever having wanted a photo frame before. When I got home I googled the unit to see a typical 440.00 price tag and BAD reviews. I loaded an SD card into it and have had it running in slideshow mode non-stop for over a month now and have not seen the horrible problems others see. Every now and then, one of the digits from the calendar (which I don't use) bleeds through, but goes away with the next slideshow change. I am quite happy with it, except the instructions on setting up the unit (and the controls for the same) are quite bad. Very worth $15.00 I paid and if I had been looking for a photo frame I would pay the $40.00 that I see it sold for.

I saw this memory frame and checked to make sure it supported GIFs. It does but no where does it mention that it doesn't support animated GIFs and what's the point of supporting GIF files if it doesn't support animation?

Worthless piece of junk. It's too small to be of any use if you can't put something like your company's animated logo on it as a GIF file.

Worked fine on AC for a couple of weeks. Then, when I switched to batteries, it stopped working--even with the AC adapter. I see that someone else had the same experience. I will be returning this sorry waste of materials to the store.
