Immature, yes, vile, yes, but then again, it's supposed to be. Gottfried tells some of the funniest tasteless jokes you'll ever hear. Some you'll recognize, some you won't, but those you do will be vastly improved by Gottfried's delivery and banter between jokes... in one instance, he goes off on a tangent of Bill Cosby and Jerry Seinfeld impressions. The finale is a ten minute stretch of the famous aristocrats joke. The material is fast-paced and the laughter is non-stop.

We all know that praise given to the best of the best comedians "he can make a phone book funny". Well Gilbert Gottfried is setting out to do just that. Unfortunately, he should have used a phone book since it's funnier than most of this material. As much as Gottfried can sell a joke (and I did find myself laughing aloud at jokes that I have NEVER found funny in the past - not even in 6th grade when we all tell these jokes) there are just too many old jokes in this thing. You got the traveling salesman jokes, the three homosexuals in a hot tub jokes, the Polish jokes. These things were ancient when Gottfried's great great great grandfather was learning Yiddish swear words.

Still, it's Gottfried and there's an enthusiasm that he brings to the table that most comedians wouldn't have. And the "editorial asides" really do sell quite a few of the jokes. And this is the quintessential "sneak on the IPOD of a religious friend" CD.

I would give this CD 3 stars, however the Aristocrats joke definitely warrents its own star and ALMOST justifies buying the entire CD.

This is the soundtrack of the DVD Gilbert made of his standup Dirty Jokes tour. Don't try to drive and listen to this for the first time, you'll leave the road for sure!

I can see that everyone might not like this album. I was listening to one of the comedy channels on XM radio the other day and they played some of the cuts from this album and I almost died laughing! So I rented the video from Netflix and had so much fun with that I decided to download the mp3 of the album. I have had some of my friends listen to it and surely have had some interesting responses. Not everyone can find some of these jokes humorous. Which is what life is all about. "What is bad taste?" I know there is a lot of humor that does nothing for me. I guess I feel that Gilbert is telling these jokes not because they are dirty but because he truly finds them humorous which to me changes how he delivers them to the point that I feel they are funny as hell. I know when I try to tell them to someone they come off flat and weird. So if you find your humor to be a little off, then this album might be fun for you. Though you might want to listen to it alone or with headphones!

This CD was OK but not terribly funny. I haven't listened to it a second time since I bought it.

Nobody wants to admit it but this is such funny and gross material that you can't help but laugh and feel somewhat guilty at the same time. It's one dirty belly laugh from start to finish. Seldom have I ever heard a better rendition of the classic "Aristocrates". Gilbert says everything we really want to say but don't because it isn't acceptable. It's good we have Gilbert and his kind to do the talking for us. This is what the term Adult Humor means. It's like a large plate of homemade hash browns. You know you shouldn't, but you can't help enjoying it to the very end.

Dirty jokes is a funny album. I watched the DVD and laughed my ass off, sometimes quite uncomfortably as the jokes are quite raunchy. I then bought the mp3 album so I could play some of the jokes on my phone at work, we had a good laugh :)

Fairly funny disk - the order in which the jokes appear doesn't correspond with the cover listing, but still good.

This CD is far too funny to listen in car while driving. It is gut swinging hilarious. A constant hilarity.

Few Times Do I Regret What I've Done In Life, Well I Regret The Purchase Of This CD/DVD. It Was The Most Unfunny Supposed Comedic

Performance, I HAVE EVER SEEN. Nothing But Rehashed Old Jokes That

Were Maybe One Time Funny To Someone, BUT NOT HERE. I Like Gilbert, I Usually Enjoy His Comedy, Not This Time. Sorry Gilbert. Better Luck Next Time.
