4.0 out of 5 stars Very Helpful, October 5, 2009
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Gilbert Law Summaries on Civil Procedure (Paperback)
This book is very helpful in laying out an outline for civil procedure, especially for a 1L class. I found it useful in filling in the blanks that the professor had left as well as making connections that I didn't previously understand.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but could be better, December 31, 2008
This review is from: Gilbert Law Summaries on Civil Procedure (Paperback)
If your class/textbook deals only with Fed. R. Civ. P. (as in my situation), then there are a lot of sections in this book that does not pertain to you. They discuss both the code and rules procedure, so you may have to sift out the unnecessary stuff. Otherwise, it has very good overview of the subject.

5.0 out of 5 stars use the gilbert's, not the emanuel's, January 11, 2008

I initially began studying with the Emanuel's, but switched to the Gilbert's because it covered more topics in greater detail than the Emanuel's. In my preparation for the California bar exam, I appreciate the Gilberts' inclusion of specific citations to California law where appropriate.
