Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Japanese pressing of the 2007 sophomore effort by Maroon 5 includes three bonus tracks: 'Until You're Over Me', 'Infatuation' and 'Losing My Mind'. Global neo-soul rock superstars, Maroon 5 are back with their much-anticipated sophomore album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long. The follow-up to the 10 times platinum, Grammy award-winning Songs About Jane will be sexier and stronger, according to frontman Adam Levine, who looked to 80s icons such as Prince, Michael Jackson and Talking Heads for inspiration. Recorded at home in Los Angeles with producers Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Eminem), Mark Spike Stent (Bjork, Keane, Gwen Stefani), Mark Endert (Madonna, Fiona Apple), and Eric Valentine (Queens of the Stone Age, Nickel Creek) the album promises to be a louder take on the pop sounds of their first effort. It's definitely aggressive, upbeat and pounding, says Levine. Polydor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gil arrebentando em Londres!, May 11, 2001

3.0 out of 5 stars Bonus tracks not exactly a bonus, April 18, 2007
Classic sounds from the legendary Brazilian musician and current Minister of Culture(!) If you're not familiar with his work, this is indeed a great place to start. Find it on vinyl, tho'. The remastering doesn't do this record any favours, the "bonus" tracks aren't particularly enlightening, and whilst I realise this borders on sacrilege, the cover of "Sgt. Pepper", aside from the awesome guitar break, is, well, kind of awful. Sorry.

5.0 out of 5 stars A psychedelic Brazilian/English pop gem from 1971, March 28, 2007
By George T. Parsons (Nevada City, CA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
It's just been reissued stateside at a reasonable price.
Do not miss this one! The two covers of Blind Faith's Can't Find My Way Home
are worth the price of admission on their own.

5.0 out of 5 stars folkadelic
after the full out psychedelic assault of gil's 1969 album, the spaced out acoustic vibe of this 1971 album is a nice change of pace. Read more
