With shaving gels and creams, it really is a matter of personal opinion on what one likes. I prefer this product as it does seem to work for me the best on the "tough beards"... I have been cursed with the thick facial hair, so I need to shave using manual razors (can't use electric razors as they just rip and tear when I use them) and this product tends to be the kindest to me of the ones I have tried.

Gillette Fusion Hydra Gel Ultra Sensitive manufactured by Gillette, a division of P&G is by far one of the best shaving cream/gels I have ever used. Ever since I started shaving at 14, I have a curly thick beard. My skin was sensitive, but I was disappointed in the shaving products that were used in the 1960's and through out the years until this product came on the market.

You apply a dab on the palm of your hand and work the gel into a lather with your fingers, then apply to your beard. There is a cool sensation as the Gel/Cream is worked into the beard. Your skin feels refreshed as the gel now a rich lather begins to soften and raises your beard for shaving.

Now, I've tried many razors in my time, I found that the best shave I could get was at a barber shop, but as you know that can get expensive over a life time. I was skeptical when it came to razors as they all pulled, yanked and hacked through my beard. This caused me to shave twice in order to get the desired closeness. Shaving for me was a hassle, so I decided to grow a beard and had one for twenty years, but with the styles changing... alas, shaving was back in and all my fears were being again realized. But, for Gillette and their new "Fusion" products.

Gillette's Fusion Gel, as I mentioned, is the best on the market, but, of course, it's my opinion. There is a fragrance, but it is light and masculine and your skin feels wonderful after you shave, but for one caveat. By leaving your skin feeling great, there is an oily film on your skin after you shave, but with warm water and a soft wash cloth it can be removed and your skin remains feeling refreshed.

I would recommend Gillette fusion Gel to any one who wants a close, comfortable shave. Excellent product for a full 5 stars.

Overview: I have used this shaving gel with my fusion razor and it works very well

Feeling: This gives a hydrated feeling while also cooling your face. They Aloe and Vitamin E make your face soft after you shave.

Scent: Not very strong but enough to wake you up. There is a fragrance in it so it smells more manly.

bottom line: I like this gel, it gives a cool, comfortable shave and smooth skin that everybody likes.

Well I was looking for a sensitive skin shaving gel/cream because I have rosacea and my skin is very sensitive. I still like to shave with a razor, even thought it might not be good for my sensitive skin. I do not used the most advanced razors but I got a very close shave with this cream. Also there was no irritation and it did not feel as though it dried out my skin out at all. I really love this gel.
