All Venus razors accept all Venus cartridges. These Embrace cartridges are definitely larger than the three-bladed plain Venus and Venus Divine ones, but I was able to swap cartridges just fine between my Embrace and Divine razors. It doesn't matter whether you bought a plain Venus, a Venus Divine or a Venus Embrace razor. You can use any of the replacement cartridges with any of the razors. The biggest difference between the cartridges is not the number of blades, but the amount of lubrication, as I discovered when I accidentally ordered plain Venus replacement cartridges instead of Venus Divine cartridges.

The greater lubrication on the Divine and Embrace cartridges helps smooth over the rough edges of any dull blades. When you have this many blades, some of them are bound to be dull, but at a cost of about three bucks a pop, you don't want to have to throw one out so the extra cost of the lubricated blades in worth it. I don't think you really need the two extra blades, but surprisingly, the extra bulk of these cartridges didn't really get in the way. If you are very small, though, you might find using these on your armpits or the hollows in your knees tough and the 3-bladed Divine would be a better (and cheaper) choice.

I ended up with this razor accidently, having bought the wrong cartridges at Walmart for my current razor. But I am so glad I did! Using this razor I shaved with water only and had no razor bumps or cuts. That's a first for me. This is the first razor I've ever had that actually shaved very close and I was smooth enough to keep the hubby happy for three days! It's the first time I felt I could shave less than every other day. Five blades may seem like a lot, but it's worth it! Great for more sensitive areas too!

Weren't you excited when they brought out the first men's 2-blade razor? It lasted for weeks and gave an amazing shave. But then it was replaced by the new "improved" version - which only shaved well for half as long. Even this was then replaced - by one lasting half as long again.

So they brought out the new whiz-bang 3-blade version Same story. First model was brilliant but was quickly taken off the market and subsequent models shave well for only half as long.

Well this "women's" 5-blade razor is ASTONISHING. Gillette no doubt see a major growth market in shavers for women and so have created a blade that gives a brilliantly smooth shave and will give you a daily smooth shave for MORE THAN 2 MONTHS - 3 or 4 times longer than the men's equivalent. OK it won't allow you to straight-cut your sideburns but you can keep a men's blade for this.

MEN - and women - BUY A BUNCH OF THESE NOW - before they bring in the new improved model.

I love how well this razor works. I have really sensitive skin, and this razor doesn't irritate it at all. And these cartridges came really quickly.

With 5 blades I have never gotten a closer shave. Also allows me to shave less often! I love these razor blades... they are worth the investment!

I love Venus Embrace razors, and I think I might buy them off amazon from now on! They're half the price of stop and shop. There, you pay for a four pack what amazon is selling for an eight pack.

I thought I had already done a review of this product but will do it again as I believe I owe the Vine program its due.

What can one say about Gillette's Embrace? Well, it works very smoothly, it does the job it's designed to do, and it's within a reasonable price range. I would recommend the product to others. I found it utilitarian and as good as any other I've tried. I like the name, I like the product. I don't see any drawbacks--it does the job and I would and have purchased it since the first trial run. Gillette generally makes good products and you can usually count on the Brand name to come through for you.

These things cost an arm and a leg normally, but I thought this was an excellent price for the quantity!

Product is just as described and the packs are bigger than what I can find at the local stores.

The product arrived in a timely fashion and It was good value for money. I would buy from this seller again.
