Product Description

Size: 8 Count

Gillette’s best blades are now 2X preferred when used with the Fusion ProGlide handle with FlexBall Technology (overall preference vs. former ProGlide, among ProGlide users). Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power razor blades are Gillette’s #1 on sensitive skin.

Reengineered Low Cutting Force Blades feature thinner, finer edges (first 4 blades vs. Fusion) with advanced low-resistance coating to cut effortlessly through hair with less tug and pull than Fusion. A Blade Stabilizer maintains optimal blade spacing for comfort, while allowing the blades to respond to the contours of a man’s face. Plus, the Streamlined Comfort Guard channels excess shaving cream to produce optimal blade contact, stretching the skin for a close, comfortable shave. And the razor’s Enhanced Lubrastrip (vs. Fusion) is infused with mineral oil and lubricating polymers that allow the Gillette Fusion ProGlide to move smoothly over skin, even on repeat strokes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is FlexBall Technology?
Handles featuring FlexBall Technology allow the blades to respond to the contours of your face for Gillette’s best shave. This means a close shave with fewer missed hairs (vs. Fusion in a single stroke over the contours).

What makes Gillette Fusion ProGlide better than Gillette Fusion?
The Fusion ProGlide family is Gillette’s best shave. The handle features FlexBall Technology that responds to contours for a great shave, even over the trickiest areas.

How long will the Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor blade refill last?
How long a razor cartridge lasts depends on many variables such as beard toughness and thickness, beard preparation, shaving habits, and skin sensitivity. The Gillette Fusion ProGlide's reformulated Indicator Lubricating Strip will provide you with a visual cue - it fades to white - when optimal shave conditions have been reduced. When this happens, you may want to consider changing your cartridge to get an optimal shave.

What are thinner, finer blades, and how will they improve my shave?
Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power and ProGlide Manual razors have been engineered with Gillette's thinnest blades ever (the first four blades vs. Fusion), to glide through hair with less tug and pull (vs. Fusion).

How was the Precision Trimmer improved over the Fusion?
The blade was enhanced, and anti-clogging rinse slots were added.

What is the Streamlined Comfort Guard with channels, and what are its benefits?
Gillette Fusion ProGlide features a Streamlined Comfort Guard. The soft, flexible material surrounds the Microfins, creating an outer edge that wraps around the sides of the cartridge and channels away excess shave prep, for optimal blade contact.

Have there been any enhancements to the Lubrastrip vs. Gillette Fusion?
Yes. It contains more lubricants and a touch of mineral oil.

Will Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power cartridgeazor blade refills fit any other razors on the market?
Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor blade refills fit any Gillette Fusion or Gillette Fusion ProGlide handle, including those featuring Power and FlexBall Technology.

When I first heard the ProGlide was coming out, I was a bit skeptical on how it could be that much better than the regular Fusion. As is turned out, the ProGlide is better and noticeably so. There is definitely much less resistance when sliding this across my face. It also seems like I'm been getting a closer shave. The best part of the ProGlide is that your can use your old Fusion handles to attach the blades onto. No need to buy special ProGlide handles. The only bad part that I have noticed so far is that the ProGlide seems to wear down much faster than the old Fusion. I have to replace the ProGlide blades about a week earlier than I used to with the old Fusion.

I travel quite a bit and keep the old Gilette Sensor Excel in my travel case, as well as the Fusion system at home. My beard is thick, black hair; a true test for any of these razor systems. Fusion has worked the best for me so far after having tried quite a few different blades. I was happy with it but when I went to go pick up blades last time, I thought I would give this one a try. While this is a good blade and a very smooth system, I don't really notice much (if any) of an improvement over the Fusion system. The blades are even more expensive than Fusion so I'm going to have to to pass. Because shaving is such a personal thing, I"m sure everyone will have their own opinion on these blades but for me, this was more cost with no additional value over the Fusion.

Costly blades, but you can beat this cost. After each save, rinse the blade, towel dry it. Then take a hair dryer (blower) and dry it again. I picked this tip on the internet and it works. Rust is the killer of blades and drying it this way prevents rust. One blade performed as new after many, many shaves...and still going.

I want to give it a good 1-2 months of use before I wrote a review about them. In short, are these new Fusion Proglide blades better than the previous Fusion Power/Manual blades? YES.

The advertised thinner blades do make a difference: these is less drag and effort applied when I shave with my Fusion Power blade handle (you don't need to buy the new Fusion Proglide Power shaver to use these new blades). I find the shave to be much more comfortable and enjoyable with these new Proglide blades than with the Fusion Power ones I've been using for the past 2 years.

Is there a significant difference between the Proglide Manual and Power cartridges? Not that I can tell and not enough for me to fork over the extra money for them. The battery-powered handle makes the difference in the shave in my opinion.

Another reviewer mentioned that blade maintenance makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE in the longevity of your blades, and that is true. Always clean your blades with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol after each shave to remove the mineral deposits left by your sink water.

ive tried everything to help decrease irritation as least as possible i switched to these and im satisfied on how good they work.you feel less drag when cutting the hairs and i hardly get bumps since i switched. they last pretty long i usually shave every two or three days and its been almost a month and i havent changed it yet and they still work pretty good they are pretty expensive so i try to make them last but in the store theyre almost 30 somewhat dollars for eight. (i know they're good but damn) I found them on here for 10 bucks cheaper and theyre delivered pretty fast will definitely purchase them on here for now on ...

These blades provide a shave that is both close and pretty comfortable... for the first few uses. After that, though, they seem to degrade pretty quickly. The cynic in me would suggest that this is by design, but perhaps I just have mean whiskers.

When I first tried ProGlide, I thought it provided an excellent shave. I was very impressed with it. However, two or three shaves later, the blades were no longer cutting well. It seems my facial hair was too much for ProGlide to handle. For all of the research and development that Gillette must have put into this product to justify its price (or maybe it was just hype and advertising that inflated the price), it looks like they got it wrong. I'm having better luck with Schick Hydro 5, although Hydro 5's shave is very different from ProGlide's. Hydro 5 blades tend to last longer for me even if they don't deliver the smoothness of the first shave with a fresh ProGlide blade.

I hate spending so much on blades and have tried all kinds to see if there is a better option. These work the best though. Period. No question. So, if you have to spend a bit more so be it. Better than having ingrown hairs from cheap blades. I have found that shaving for me, and I have a medium heavy beard, the best way to shave is to wash my face with a good cleanser, use some shave secret pre shave oil, a little good cream, a face brush, and then these blades. Best shave. They need to figure out how to get them to last longer though. I get 5 to 7 shaves before time to switch to a new blade.
