I tried the Mach 3, but like these better. In regard to the review that says they last three days, be sure to rinse them between every two or three strokes to keep the blades clear. Rinse well when done and shake out excess water. Thirty last me well over a year.

Try a few bought from a store, then stock up here for the great price.

I've been using Mach 3 cartridges for several years. Their price is going up like they're made out of gold, so I took a look at my options.

I picked up a pack of these Gillete Custom Plus razors. It was about half the price, for the same count, as buying Mach 3 cartridges. The razor heads look almost identical, so I thought I was getting one over on Gillette.

Turns out I wasn't. These just aren't nearly as good as a Mach 3, unfortunately. I would say that a brand new Custom Plus feels about like a two week old Mach 3 cartridge. It's livable, but I feel more razor burn, have a few small nicks, and the shave just isn't as close as I would like.

I have tried the Gillette Fusion & Fusion Turbo, the Mach 3 & the Mach 3 Turbo. I've tried crappy Bic disposables and I've tried the Schick Quattro.

From best to worst it's: Gillette Custom Plus Pivot 9/10, Mach 3 Turbo 8/10, Mach 3 7/10, Schick Fusion Quattro (disposable) 6/10 and either of the Fusions, 5/10.

The Mach 3 Turbo was my preferred razor for years! I loved it and kept it sharp by rubbing the blade with an alcohol prep pad and storing it *outside* the bathroom to make it last longer. It worked, too!

I always buy a pack of cheap disposables for summer travel: to my parents' house, to his parents' house, on vacation, everywhere. I ran out of the Schick Quattro disposables so I figured I'd try something new. My brother's girlfriend is half Mexican so she has SUPER thick hair - she told me to try the Custom Plus Pivots out.

Wow. What a razor! For 1/3 or 1/2 the cost of a Mach 3 blade you get an ultra sharp, durable and long lasting razor. The moisturizing strip is HUGE!

I can't believe these are so great. I will say that for bikini line usage I still slightly prefer the Mach 3 because it can pivot more than these do. These are great for legs, armpits and face.

Overall a steal!

Have used Excel for years, but finding inexpensive Excel blades is becoming difficult. Tried the Dollar Shave Club - the razors were really cheap - just plain lousy. Quit and went with these. So far, so good - great even. And rather than use the same blade for a couple of weeks, I just pick up a new one. Great price and a darn good shave.

The "custom plus" razors made by Gillette seem to be the best value for disposable razors. I have tried the more expensive types of disposables by Gillette, and I do like them a bit more, but I cannot justify spending so much more for just a little better razor. I prefer the custom plus with a triple blade, but these double blade razors are just a better deal.

These give me the closest shave and last the longest of all the cheap razors I've tried.

I am asian, we do not grow alot of hair. But the hair we do grow needs to be shaven. Enter the Gillette Custom Plus Pivot Razor. Its cheap, its awesome. I lose alot of razors and have no qualms with just picking up another one out of the bag. The razor stays relatively sharp for several shaves, at least for me, but maybe you have rougher hair then I do? They are very generous with the moisturizing strip.

These Gillette double blade pivoting disposable razors do a pretty good job considering they're less expensive than the Mach 3 line of razors. I've been using Mach 3 and Mach 3 Turbo for many years, and while I prefer those, these razors are a good substitute whenever I feel like saving some money. They shave close, not quite as close as Mach 3, but close enough. These razors last just as long as Mach 3, from my experience.

Overall, I recommend these razors to anybody.
