3 Episodes - [Birds Gotta Fly, Fish Gotta Talk] - During Christmas, the Castaways get homesick and share their memories of the first day they were shipwrecked. When Santa Claus "appears" on the island, many suspect that he is the Skipper attempting to cheer everyone up by dressing in a Santa Claus costume. However, just as Santa departs while shouting "Merry Christmas" to the Castaways, the Skipper appears from the other direction. The show's odd title comes from the fact that while fishing, Gilligan accidentally casts the radio into the ocean, where a fish swallows it! This show features flashback scenes that include some of the original Pilot Episode footage. Thus, if you watch closely, you might catch glimpses of the three original cast members who disappeared after the Pilot (see the "Lost" Pilot Episode). - [The Postman Cometh] - The Castaways hear on the radio that Mary Ann's boyfriend in Kansas is getting married. Mary Ann overhears the others talking about her, and mistakenly believes that she has been poisoned by the mushrooms she recently ate, and has only a short while left to live. A hilarious dream sequence follows, featuring the Professor sounding a lot like Cary Grant. - [Court-Martial] - The Castaways hear on the radio that the Maritime Board of Inquiry has blamed the Skipper for the Minnow crash. In an attempt to disprove the board's verdict, they reenact the shipwreck themselves, only to find out that the cause appears to be Gilligan's ineptness. Later, a radio update reports that the Board of Inquiry has cleared the Skipper of the charges, as the Weather Service mistakenly read the wrong forecast that morning causing the crew to be unaware of the impending storms.
