A 13-year-old reader,

This review is from: The Gilmore Girls: Other Side of Summer (Mass Market Paperback)
This book was great. I like how it is written in the eyes of Rory, because you understand what was going through her head, while on the TV show you don't. I recommend buying this if you watch the show, and buying the whole four books in the series. Hopefully they will come out with more books!!

The fourth novelized installment of the TV series told from Rory's point of view. Even though I've seen the episodes the novel covers (at least twice), the book is still fresh and entertaining.

I LOVED this book! If you like the Gilmore Girls, then you would really like the book. These series of Gilmore Girls books are great and they relate to the episode. These books are very easy to read. I would strongly reccommend these books if you like Gilmore Girls!

Nothing to gain,
This review is from: The Gilmore Girls: Other Side of Summer (Mass Market Paperback)
While the writing is fine, if you've seen the episodes there is no point in reading the book. I didn't gain anything from Rory's point of view that couldn't be seen in the show.

I loved this book! Rory's and Loreali's life is so interesting. You know that Jess causes a big factor when he comes into Stars Hallow. (You know this if you have been keeping up to the TV show on the WB) I recommend that you read the previous Gilmore Girls books first to fully understand this one. This was a great book and the only reason that I didn't give it five stars was becasue I am not sure of it's clarity to those who are not familiar with the Tv series.

Book is ok,
This review is from: The Gilmore Girls: Other Side of Summer (Mass Market Paperback)
The book basically is a retelling of the 2nd season of Gilmore Girls. It didn't tell me anything I didn't already know.

This book is hilarious, along with the other three gilmore girl books. Having a background to the show does make it a little easier to follow but even if you haven't it is still a great read. I love that they have Rory actually narrating it because it gives you a feel for what is really going on in their heads.

Gilmore Girls the Other Dide OF Summer,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Gilmore Girls: Other Side of Summer (Mass Market Paperback)
Amy Sherman Palladino (the author of the novel Gilmore Girls The other side of summer) wraps you up in a novel about a mother daughter bond that is absolutely irresistible, funny and loving. Roarie, (the daughter) is starting the year at a new school called Chilton. Chilton is a private school that is considered strict and apparently looks great in your college application. Throughout the book you hear about the obstacles that Roarie faces at her at her new school. While Roarie studies and her mom learns how to become a "Chilton mom" they stick together and get through it. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a funny, loving story. I liked the way Roarie and Lorelei (her mother) interacted with each other and the fact that they were best friends. If you are expecting suspense and cliff hangers this is not the book for you. This is definitely not my favorite book but it is what I call "easy fun reading".

Gilmore Girls is one of the best shows ever, and the fact that a few episodes were put into books makes me happy. I haven't had time to read them yet because I have been studying but I can't wait to read them. The preview was word for word the episode!
