I have been using these for over 2 years now. We have 19 water spigots across our property. They range in use from my wife's vegetable garden, occasional hookup for a power washer, and horse troughs. You could say we test these cross the whole gamut.
If you let them freeze they crack.
Frequent use wears out rubber seals (I get maybe a year of disconnecting and reconnecting an item once a week).
The crack easily, usually leaving a male piece in the female piece, which is impossible to get out and requires changing both pieces.
I've yet to find anything that works better, and at this price I can afford to replace them all every year.

If you have to move hoses from one tap to another or switch from one sprinkler to another very often, this system works great. They snap together just like an air hose quick coupler and the seal tight. No leaks,no losing of hose washers.Big help with watering chores.

Partial sets of these quick-connecters came with my Gilmour Pattern Master sprinkler. Neat! The thing is, once you put the hose-end connectors on, you realize you'll need more connections for all the other devices that connect to the hose, hence this purchase (Gilmour 2939Q). Everything worked well for a week or so, then the rubber o-rings on the male ends became sticky and hard to connect. Meanwhile, the locking retractors inside the female end start to cut and slice at the o-ring: A little oil on the o-ring fixes that, but gets annoying and renders these un-"quick". For the finale, the female connectors will completely fail to lock onto the male ends, rendering them impossible to connect: All three of my female connectors suffered this fate within a few weeks (watering a handful of times a week)! Makes me wonder about the quality of my Pattern Masters, and Gilmour in general. I sent these back to Gilmour ("lifetime replacement"), and will give away or sell the replacement set. Regular screw-on hose connections are quicker, cheaper and less frustrating. Quality brass quick-connects are another option (my Nelson 50336's have worked perfectly so far), but can get expensive.

I bought this connector set in hopes of being able to quickly connect one water hose to 2 different outdoor water spickets. Unfortunately, this set has only 1 female connector and the rest are male connectors, so I was unable to use switch the hose from one faucet to the other. So, this product didn't really serve my purposes. I will need to buy a brass set of connectors and an additional female connector so that I can switch the hose to the different spickets. If your goal is to quickly connect many hoses to one single spicket, then you will be set. The install is painless. I noticed some leaking, so I had to tighten each fitting a little more. The plastic was able to withstand the extra tightening with a wrench. The connections themselves have the name brand on them, but the packaging says Ace Hardware when you buy it from Ace Hardware.

I bought 2 sets. Wish I had started with none. The biggest complaint is with the quick release of the on/off connector valve. It shows arrows where you know you need to pull down, but it is hard as heck to accomplish. And once you turn the valve off, it almost always gets turned back on while you struggle with the disconnect. My wife cannot do it. I have strong hands and I find it difficult. I caught my wife dropping an F bomb while messing with the disconnect. I buy lots of stuff from Amazon, so that was her next complaint. Thanks Gilmour! Surely the people testing this product were no stronger than I, so it is mind boggling the company is passing this flawed design on to the public.

Next ... we have been using for 3 days. One of the female connectors has sprung a leak. It is in the sidewall, not at a moving part or a seam. Water is spraying out of the side for no apparent reason. It is a pinhole, not a crack.

So, I should box up both sets and return. I may or may not go to the trouble. But I can warn others easily ... so, don't buy.

DO NOT BUY THESE. THEY DO NOT WORK. YOU WILL BE SORRY.

I would give these ZERO stars if that were possible. The biggest problem is, they are IMPOSSIBLE to disconnect. The rubber coating around the area where you're supposed to grip them to get them to release comes off the first time you try to use them. With or without the rubber grips, it doesn't make a difference. You will NEVER get a grip tight enough to separate these "quick" disconnect pieces of junk.

The ONLY way I can get these to work is to jam two flathead screwdrivers in each side and PRY the disconnect collar down. If I can actually get these horrible things to separate without slipping and severely cutting myself, I consider that a miracle.
