I have used my Gilmour Foamaster II a couple of times to wash my car. This model has the variable mix control which lets you find the mix that provides the best foam. It creates a nice consistent foam all over the car, making it easy to wash. I always rinse the car before foaming to remove any loose debris that may scratch. Its a great option for the price.

I use this only for washing the car. It actually cut my wash time in half. I usually set it at "E" (the highest ratio), go over the car with the gun, and then again each section at a time. By the way they have special foam gun car shampoo that provides extra suds (way thicker than normal car shampoo). I then just use a mit and go over the car and rinse!

This won't have the same results as the pressure washer foam guns (youtube it if you don't know what I mean). But i'm lazy, and the quick on and off connection with the garden hose is a breeze to use. The foam this thing makes is great, the only down side is that the foam won't stick on the sides of your car for long. It'll run off after a minute or so. But this can be a plus, because it'll loosen most of the dirt for you and run it down. Then you can just foam each section again one at a time prior to scrubbing with the mit.

One last thing is that this gun eats car shampoo pretty fast. You don't really need too much, I use about 3-4oz per car. But it goes out pretty fast. It's a lot worst with regular shampoo such as Meguiars gold class. So make sure if you buy this, invest in some foam gun shampoo (DP Xtreme Foam, is what I used).

I will definitely wash my car a lot more now that I have this! Great Product!

Purchased this product along with the DP Xtreme Foam Formula Shampoo. Attached pieces as instructed and then had to decide how much of a mix I wanted applied between water and shampoo. Fast way to apply soap to your car without having to use a bucket, and quick "detach" to spray off soap. You can move the lever also, but I found it easier to just detach it to spray soap off. Anyone that enjoys washing their car, should buy this.

Works well with the DP Xtreme Foam Formula Auto Shampoo.

This is the 2nd foamaster i've purchased through amazon. (i love it so much i bought two..) it seems to be the case that people these days buy the foammaster for their cars. I bought both to make washing my cars easier. Well i had a chance to put the unit through some testing today. I accidentally dropped it on the ground from the 2nd floor of my balcony today, and it landed with a thud, but absolutely unscathed. The quick detach works great to make it just a host attachment without the gun itself. OK back to the actual foam..Settings A B C D and Off are provided, but A+B to me seemed no different. Same for C+D. in fact you might as well just make the settings low, high, and off instead...The requirements are that the suds to generate properly need a steady high pressure of water in order to work properly, so make sure that you have that pre-requisite! Otherwise the foamaster II does the duty quite well! it allows my car to pre-soak in white cleansing bubbles while i prep my bucket and sponge, thus allowing for less paint marring, and better chances that dirt will come off the car quicker and more efficiently than just with a hose and sudsy wash mitt. Highly recommend!

A great product I had considered this foamer for quite some time but didn't want to spend $56.00. When it was on sale for $37.00 had to get it! works just as described cuts car washing time in half.

The product works as stated. It foams well. The foam is even better when using soap that is made specifically for creating extra foam.

This product is just what I was looking for. It makes foaming cars, houses, motorcycle chains a breeze. There as so many uses for this awesome foamer. It is sturdy and the quick release works great. The seller I got mine from shipped lightning quick. If you value your Ride I highly recommend this product to remove dirt and debris before you perform your main wash. I bought this to use in washing my cars. It works well and seems to save a little water in the process. I only use setting "A" for washing since the others use more soap than is needed. The "water only" setting also works well without any soap getting through.

One brand of car wash soap I have works better than another brand I also have. I would suggest trying several brands to see which works best.

Friday 12/23/2011 was the first time I used the sprayer. I used it to wash my house,this sprayer works great. It makes plenty foam, easy to use, I don't know why I didn't buy one sooner..

Like others, I had my doubts. But this truly works. It makes washing a car really easy. You put as much soap as you'd like, either straight or diluted form, into the container, and set the dial to how much/little you want at a time. I've tried it w/a few soaps that I have around the house. This works better with a denser concentrated soap like chemical guys honeydew or citrus soap. 'Thinner' soaps like 'touch of class' and Turtle Wax Ice worked, but the soap didn't sit on the car like it would with the honeydew or citrus. When you use it, you want to cut your soap by 1/2 or even double (depending on how concentrated your soap is).
